I recently purchased this because I have been wanting a new amp. I love playing Marshall's, and this one is beautiful. I Have two Dave Mustaine Dean V's, one tuned to E and the other to D and this amp brings the best out of both of them. I am still playing with some of the settings with it. The buying factor to me was the decent prince and the fact that it came with a foot switch. I would recommend this amp to everyone.
Upgraded my amp to go with my first Gibson. Ordered a "blemished" (that I've yet to find the "blemish"). Got it on a promo 15% off. To be accurate: this is the first time I've owned quality equipment over cheap beginner's guitars and amps, and I'm only a novice. But the sound and quality is far better than I expected. Turns out I play better than I thought! I've only just begun to learn how to use all the effects. My opinion, fantastic amp for the money!
I just bought my Marshall MG102CFX and I love it. I have a Gibson Les Paul Traditional and an Epiphone Les Paul Ultra III and the sounds coming out of these guitars through this amplifier are incredible. Marshall and Les Paul there is nothing else like it. I only wish I lived in a place where I could crank up the volume without pissing off my neighbors.
The amp works and sounds great except for one small problem. When playing lower notes on the E and A string the lower section of the amplifier rattles. I made a temp solution by cramming a sock between the amp and speaker section to make sure that was were the noise was coming from.(Yes, I did remove the sock afterward.) Not sure what the solution is but I'll keep at it. It's annoying. I'm thrilled otherwise. clark
