Not quite powerful enough to play with a band

By Natertot

from North Bend, Washington

Comments about Marshall MB30 Bass Combo Amp:

I bought this used about four months ago and it still works great. It has plenty of different tones (if you crank up the gain, you can sound like steeve harris from Iron Maiden). Great for practice by your self, but if you want to play in a band, it's just not quite loud enough. But other than that, it's plenty loud to play by yourself.

Marshall Never Lets You Down!!!

By Devin

from Kansas City, KS

Comments about Marshall MB30 Bass Combo Amp:

I got this for my birthday to replace a cheap Behringer Practice Amp that I got over a year ago. Not only is it so much louder than that amp, it has such an awesome warm tone to it in the Modern Channel. The Classic Channel has a sweet Gain Control that gives you either a little hint of Distortion for a little growl or full on, in your face Distortion. I've used it in gigs a few times. In indoor gigs, I barely have it on halfway and I still hear myself, but outside I gotta crank it up to 10 since everyone else tries to drown me out. The Voice Knob is a cool addition, but the changes are a little subtle, and it's a little heavy for it's size, but other than that awesome amp for the money.

Good for individual practise

By Jaxon

from Butler, Pennsylvania

Comments about Marshall MB30 Bass Combo Amp:

I've owned the mb30 for around 6 months now, and have learned much about it. I have taken it to friends houses and noticed that the sound gets drowned out by heavy drum beats and loud guitar work. No doubt, this is still one of the best amps out there for solo practise. It has great sound to it. Not recommending this amp for jam sessions and especially gigs, but great to keep around the house.

Great Buy

By Ben

from Bellevue Washington

Comments about Marshall MB30 Bass Combo Amp:

This amplifier is a great buy, especially for the price here. It has a great tone with presets that are actually useful. It is great for practicing and playing with a guitarist/bassist but drums easily overwhelm the volume. The sound you get is amazingly full for such a small amp. The only complaint I have is the compressor makes clicking noises.

Great Practice Amp

By Alex

from Chicago,Illinois

Comments about Marshall MB30 Bass Combo Amp:

I just got this amp for my room and all i can say is WOW!! This is a true marshall! It's sound is amazing and makes a great practice amp. However I would not recommend it for shows. I use a G&K for that but this is still a great amp, and a true marshall!

Great Practice Amp

By J.L.M.

from Hayward,WI

Comments about Marshall MB30 Bass Combo Amp:

This amp is great for the money. Amazingly loud for 30 Watts. Great tone possibilities on both channels. Seems solidly built and just very nice all around. This amp has me seriously considering Marshall for my live rig as well; I just love the tonal range. I'm a very discerning consumer and I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase. Start looking into the Marshall Bass equipment if you haven't already.
