Marshall has always sought to provide outstanding tone to guitarists of every budget, and with the new MA Series, all-tube Marshall tone is now more affordable than ever. The MA100C 100W combo was carefully designed by Marshall's R&D team using the same basic principles as all Marshall amps‚ÄĚto deliver colorful, dynamic, unmistakable Marshall tube tone in a road-ready package.

Attractive Looks
The aesthetics of the MA100C combo have been specially designed to create a look that stands apart from most other Marshall amps, while still retaining the essence of what people have become familiar with for over 45 years. Two orange LEDs illuminate the interior of the unit, highlighting the power tubes. This effect is visible through the fret cloth where the trusty white script logo is mounted onto a solid piece of transparent Perspex.

Tube Power And Tone Simply Executed
The MA100C is powered using the traditional Marshall mainstays of ECC83 double triode tubes in the preamp, and EL34 pentode tubes in the power amp. The layout and controls are kept simple, allowing you to explore unhindered the full potential of the all-tube tone within. The MA100C has separate EQ stages for both the Clean and Overdrive channels so you can optimally adjust each one without compromising the other. 2 -12" Eminence AX-75 speakers deliver all this great tone to awaiting ears. An extra benefit has been provided in the form of a tube-driven Boost function on the OD channel giving you, for example, a solo boost with more volume and gain. The amp also contains a spring reverb for use with all channels within the amp.

Intuitive And Practical
The MA100C combo was designed with the flexible control demanded by today's players in mind, but with a streamlined feature set to keep it cost effective. Whether in your own home or gigging, setting up the sounds and relative levels is very easy. The supplied footswitch assists live performance letting you toggle between settings like Clean to Overdrive, Clean to Boosted Overdrive, and Overdrive to Boosted Overdrive, ensuring maximum versatility.

Even though the MA range is designed as a no-frills, all-tube guitar amplifier, Marshall included a couple of extra features that allow for even more versatility. In addition to the all-tube preamp and power amp tone, MA amplifiers are equipped with an onboard spring reverb tank for an extra dimension to your sound. With the front-panel level control you can easily dial in how much you need for your own taste. All MA amplifiers are also equipped with a serial external effects loop for guitarists who want to add effects units into their sound. The nominal level of -10dBV is suited to stompboxes primarily, but not exclusively.

Wonderful convinience!!!

from pittsburgh pennsylvania

I bought this amp last week because I needed a piece of furniture to stack my television set on.I thought this would look cooler than a regular table.I don't play guitar at all but I love the look of the marshall logo so I thought this would decorate my home rather nicely. My neighbor plays electric violin however and I've been trying to coax her into coming over to try it out but she needs new strings on her violin and she had a bad cough this week...bummer.I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should borrow my uncle's acoustic guitar to try this amp out but I don't know how to plug in an acoustic guitar into an amp.

Marshall MA 100C

By Bill

from Rossford, Ohio

Love it! I was skeptical about not being made in the U.K. but not any longer. The clean channel sounds, well, like a clean channel. The reverb is outstanding. It takes a short learning curve to dial in the overdrive and boost channels but that is merely a result of the amp being so versatile. Even at low volumes, the sustain is effective. The power is enough to work clubs or smaller theaters. Couple it with 2 MA412's, disconnect the internal speakers and you have pretty much all you need. The amp has great Marshall all valve tone at an affordable price. In my opinion, you can't go wrong.

1st tube amp

By Dave Wilde

from Sandston, VA

This is my first tube amp. I upgraded from a Line-6 Spider II to the MA 100C. So far, I am very pleased with my amp. It definitely lives up to the Marshall reputation. I use it for contemporary worship in my church and for playing rock and metal as a hobby. I was using Boss distortion pedals on my board, but am currently just using the onboard distortion effects for my drive in order to really get a feel for the amps capabilities. I must say, I am very impressed with the range of distortion I can get out of the amp. The boosted overdrive It isn't quite as "metal" as a metal pedal can give, but it is comparable and even warmer, which I was actually looking for in a distortion range. It gives some more mids in the boosted overdrive which fills out the sound. For a "no frills" amp, I am really surprised with the versatility of the amp. It may look like a "starter tube amp", but I think it is professional quality.

Amplifier: Made in Vietnam Speakers: Made in China What more do I need to say. It is an decent amp but is way overpriced. I figured because it was an all-tube Marshall it would be awesome but I was very dissapointed. Also the first one that was shipped to me was broken. I sent it back and got another one this came shipped with the footswitch under the amp. The footswitch was broken. I called GC and ended up getting another footswitch. Both times the boxes the amps were shipped in were roughed up a little. My advice would be to try it at the store and decide for yourself. Unless i am just super unlucky and the amp has just been faulty both, times this amp is really not worth it DONT BUY!

Poor at best

from NY

I eagerly awaited the arrival of this amp, but was very dissappointed. I warmed it up, set all the knobs to zero, turned the stby to on and my guitar played sound thru the speakers with everything turned off. Then I turned up all the knobs and the overdrive channel did not work at all. Believe me, I reset the foot controller, made sure everything was connected correctly, and even just used the amps buttons but still no overdrive. The boosted OD did work but the crunch sound was not a Marshall sound. I even unplugged the 2X12's and connected my M412A cab and it still was pretty flat sounding. Exporting the work is really showing up on quality...

Great Little Amp

from Lindstrom, MN

When I wanted to upgrade my amp from a Ibanez 100 combo to a tube amp. First thing I wanted to try out was a Marshall. I bought my BC Rich KKV into GC and played around with the 100 head verison of this. I was liked the tone and boast on the OD channel. So I placed the order and got the combo. Came into today played with it on my son's Epiphone Explorer and Yes I know a happy sound marriage is a Marshall and a Gibson. The sound was crisp on the OD channel and the clean I love it. Great to play some nice SRV style licks. Now the KKV. Had to play around with the setting a little, but over all I love this little amp. The OD was crisp with the KKV and same with the clean channel. If you want a great tube amp without breaking you. I would go with this amp. I will say when you play it for the first time and your not used to tubed amp. Yes there will be a smell that comes from the amp. It's the tubes giving off heat from what I can gather.
