Overview

In a nutshell, the Marshall all-valve, 2-channel JVM215C is a 2-channel, 50W version of the most versatile Marshall amplifier ever made, the JVM410C. Each of its 2 channels are completely independent of each other, and they boast 3 Modes, all 6 of which are footswitchable and feature their own unique gain structure. It makes the JVM 2-channel effectively 6 Marshalls in one!

The JVM215C has studio-quality digital reverb with a level control for each channel. This is also footswitchable, as are the amp's two Master Volume controls and the Series/Parallel effects loop. Resonance and Presence are equipped with master controls.

An ingenious footswitch (UK patent pending) and the fact all the amp's switching (channel/modes, Reverb, Master Volume selection, FX loop) can be done via MIDI and you're looking at an incredibly flexible amp! The 4-way footswitch boasts LEDs and memory, plus it connects to the amp via a regular guitar cable.

From the cleanest clean to the filthiest distortion ever found in a Marshall and all points in-between, the JVM215C all-valve combo will give you whatever tone you need right when you need it.

Little Amp, Big on usefulness!

By luke.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

This is a great little combo for anyone wanting great Marshall sound in a small and versatile package. I play this amp live in conjunction with it's XLR line out. The master volume is great for getting the exact output I need on stage and the sound guys love it because I can cut the speaker via the standbye switch and the amp still sends a signal to the PA for them to control. Perfect for any venue and at home too!

Versitile Amp

By gitarplayur

from Bellingham, WA

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

There is plenty of gain is this amp, but it has excellent lower gain dynamics as well. The reverb is excellent, better than on most marshalls. The various channel switching options are some what confusing. It is a plug and play amp, except if you feel like customizing the channel switching options. This amp rips and offers some fantastic rock tones from the 70's on up, but it may not be for everyone as the options can be somewhat overwhelming.

Pretty good amp.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

I played one of these up at guitar center. the reverb is alot better than most marshalls have, and the sound is pretty awesome. you can get that classic marshall stack sound ot of it. the only bad thing about this amp is that the clean channel is pushed, and does not stay clear at higher levels. but then again, its a marshall, what do you expect? they are not made to play clean on. this amp is perfect for any player that wants a killer lead distortion sound.

Great Marshall tone!

By Zach Drummond

from Gardendale, AL

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

I have played this amp a few times at my local music shop. If you need that classic Marshall stack sound, but would rather have a combo then you need to try this amp. The Channels have different modes for different needs. The real big deal here is the master volume. Sometimes you need a quiet practice. That lets you do it. I had a hard time not buying this amp over my Mesa Express. The one thing I didn't like about this amp was the clean channel. The channel sounds far too pushed, and snappy with the Les Paul studio I tried it with. (yeah, I know. Marshalls are not know for their clean tone, but still.) Anyways, go try it. It's still an awesome amp!

The Best of my Many Marshalls!

By tonepro

from Boise, Idaho

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

This amp slays. It has a beautiful sparkling clean that can be pushed into blues and beyond. I like the clean as well as my Fender blues deluxe and that is saying something for a Marshall. The overdrives are classic all the way to metal with a great JCM 800 sound and a modded 800 that crushes my TSL. What is amazing about this amp is you can take the entire master section out of the tube path and the amp sounds so open and vintage it is a beautiful thing. This amp should win every award ever given to a tube amp as I have been playing for 30 years and this is the tone of the best Marshalls ever made. Put a delay in front and there is nothing this amp cannot play and play well...

JVM 215c

By James

from Arkansas

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

I've had Marshall amps for a long time, and I had to sell my equipment a few years back. Now that I am back playing music again I needed another amp so I started with the digital Marshall amp but was not please with at all, then. I bought the DSL40c and was still not satisfied, so I did some research and discovered the JVM215c so I bought it and I saw that I wasted my time with the other amps. The JVM has the cleanest clear channel I have heard in a long time, deep tones, resonation is excellent and overall exactly was what I was looking for. This was in then first channel Green mode, when. I went to the yellow mode again, exactly what I wanted to hear, a little grit in the sound just perfect for nice rhythms, and you can adjust the gain and volume for your taste. And same for the second channel, Green, Yellow, and Red. Each channel has these, and they are adjustable. I give this amp 5 stars because it has everything a Guitar would want, the foot switch allows many options and settings which permits unlimited versatility on stage for the musician. If you want the sounds of the 60's 70's and beyond it allows you to adjust to those sounds and the ability to create new tones for you taste. I do believe it is pricy, but for me I had no choice I needed the sound so I made the jump to buy. This is a great amp, small enough and more power than anyone would need in bands, even large shows, just hook up line out to the P.A. And blow the crowd away.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

I'm a 40+ year experienced musician, with a gigging 5-piece band of pros playing a huge range of rock to rhythm and blues, raunchy to delicate. This amp really does so many things well, going from total metal to jazz with a footswitch, just what I need with this group. All six voices are really useful. The clean is clear and warm but not too bright. I've been a fender amp guy mostly, with a Quad reverb and a Peavey Delta blues and a few more, and I still love those amps, but the clean on this is sweeter, nothing harsh or biting as a fender-type can be; it has just the right amount of break-up. The Orange and Red crunch channels are excellent Stones/Blues, and the overdrive channels are sheer Marshall monster rock---great for soloing, with harmonic feedback at will on Orange and Red. Orange is really Santana, and the Red channel is truly over the top, in a nice way. You can literally get infinite sustain out of it for any kind of song; it isn't just a metal channel. I'm glad I took the Marshall leap with this model. Very sweet roar. The beast just makes me smile. The speaker is a straight-on punchy metal speaker, and is perfectly fine, and the amp will melt the paint in terms of volume in most venues. I added an Egnator 2x12 Tourmaster extension and it added that level of bell-tone, and it's a perfect rig. The footswitch is quirky, though. Once you understand how it thinks, it's very handy, but it's a little weird at first. It would be nice to have a couple more buttons to pre-program, but it still is an incredibly fast way to instantly change the voice of the guitar without the oddities that sometimes come with modeling tones, which I've never liked. Absolutely a superior and incredible amp, you can't go wrong with this baby.

    Amp Nirvana!

    By Mark Micciulla

    from CT

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

Finally found what I have been searching for. This amp is amazing. I tried many others but when I plugged into this one for the first time I knew it was the one. This is a feature packed amp like no other in this price range. You can have any tone you want and be able to call it up on the programmable footswitch. Amazing! You can go from clean to blusey to Rockin to Hard Rockin to Metal Mayhem and all with the distinct Marshall ROAR. If you are on the fence about this one go for it you won't regret it. I tried to go the "cheaper" route myself and was just dissappointed time after time. Finally Amp Nirvana for me!!

I am experienced musician who plays a number of instruments Over the past few years I have looking for a better overall sound and this amp ended my searching I can't say enough good comments about this amp and the Marshall sound. Without any pedals, you plug in and it gives me what I want across a variety of genres. Although I loved my Fender Twin, this Marshall is more me I could never get the twin to give me that Marshall sound so I did what I knew I needed to - buy a Marshall. For anyone thinking about this amp, buy it Don't hesitate.

Comments about Marshall JVM Series JVM215C 50W 1x12 Tube Combo Amp:

I recently bought this amp to replace my Fender Twin Reverb 65 re-issue. The Fender is an excellent amp in its own right, but I couldn't get the crunch/overdrive sound I was looking for after trying four different overdrive pedals. Since buying the Marshall, I could't be happier. The clean channel sounds surprisingly good. Yes it breaks up sooner than a Fender, but you would expect that from a Marshall. The flexibility and sound of the different crunch/overdrive channels is excellent. The amp is loud for gigs, but flexible enough for home use. The foot pedal that comes with the amp is great. The fx loop in the back works great for my modulation pedals. The reverb doesn't compare to the Fender spring reverb, but it's good enough. Overall an excellent amp.
