As part of their 50th Anniversary celebration, Marshall announced the release of the JMP-1H head. A 1 Watt, all-tube amp that pays homage to the era of the 1970’s Marshall tone and ascetics. One of two that are the second in a series of five Limited Edition pairings – each paying homage to one of the five decades that Marshall has been in business.
The Volume control sets the overall output volume of the amp, as well as its gain, for musical distortion as the internal tube stages are gradually overdriven more and more. The Treble and Bass controls give you further tonal control so you can get the JMP sound that is perfect for you.

Comments about Marshall JMP1 50th Anniversary '70s Era 1W Tube Guitar Amp Head:
This amp sounds great - if you can get one. They're expensive and hard to find but worth it. The tone is amazing. It does a great job of reproducing a 70's JMP, but with more gain. I also own the JTM-1h. Compared to the JTM, the JMP has more gain, doesn't clean up with your volume knob as easy, is less bass-y, and has a more mid-rangey, compressed sound. The bass & treble knobs do a decent job of shaping the tone and the boost switch is great for pushing it almost to JCM800 territory. The 1w setting is really too loud for home use and I use it primarily to roll back the volume and get a good low-volume clean sound. The .1w setting is perfect for diming the knobs and ripping through every riff I know. If you have a chance, pair it with a cab loaded with Greenbacks and you won't be disappointed!
