Played this and LOVE it. It is a great package all around. Head Comes complete with three great sounding channels, gives you tons of options to fit the sounds you are looking for. Very versatile. Takes a while to figure everything out and to find the best sounds, but is really worth it. Great for ALL styles of music. This amp really cranks, great for any type of gig. It also features a power reduction (saturation) button enabling you to run the amp a little hotter at lower volumes. Has a couple ?boost? buttons and many more nice features you do not notice until you mess around with it a bit. THE CLEAN CHANNEL IS THE PRETTIEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD, even when it is saturated. The only drawback is the price, but if you can afford it I strongly recommend it. YOU WILL BE SATISFIED AND MORE. I recommend going to the nearest guitar center to try this beauty out (especially on a 1960AV Vintage 4X12 cab, I think it sounds best on that).
I have only played this amp through two 12?s, so I can?t even imagine how sweet it would sound with the 1960 cab. The tone you get from this amp is nothing short of amazing. The clean channel is the best sounding clean channel I have ever heard! And the crunch this amp gives is breathtaking and gives you that classic rock tone. My roommate has this amp and I have a Marshal Mg100 half stack so I always play through my amp. One day I decided to try his out with his American Strat and I was absolutely blown away with the sound quality and how loud it was! This amp is extremely versatile and can play any type of music you give it. The only bad thing is the price, but you do get what you pay for. And by paying a lot, you get a lot, BOTTOM LINE! If you can't afford this amp, go to guitar center and try it out. I'm sure you'll be applying for a guitar center card in no time!
This is the most amazing amp there is. Plug in any guitar and you will sound the way you want to. I got every soud I wanted when I tried it with a Gibson Les Paul Classic. I got those zeppelin tones, both clean and distorted. Then another guy was using the same amp except with LP Standard was heavy metal soloing. The two channels are very useful and let you find any sound you can think of. The only flaw I saw was the price, but hey, it's a Marshall and it's worth every penny.
I bought this amp a while ago at my local GC store, and this thing never gets old. I've had it for about two years now, and it still gives me chills every time I play it. The clean channel sounds very crisp and clear, and the clean channel's gain can really fatten it up and give it a fuller, warmer sound, and of course the tube reverb gives it that perfect complimentary shimmer. The second channel has that awesome Marshall crunch that you can do a lot with, and the third channel (the Lead channel) has the sweetest sounding overdrive on any amp available on the market, loaded with plenty of sustain that feeds back nicely for you. The two overdrive channels feature a deep boost switch that kick up the bass frequency for a real hefty tone, and the clean channel's mid boost gives it a real sweet sound. The VPR switch is great for practicing in your room. The only complaint I have is the FX loop, the idea is great, but it actually brings down the volume pretty noticeably when activated, but you can always just hook your FX pedals straight through like normal. Other than that, this amp is amazing, blows all the others away, and is more than worth the money.
This thing provides some of the greatest tube sounds ever to be heard. I plug it sraight into it and I just touched a few knobs and boom I had the tone I wanted almost instantly. Fits a lot of styles: rock, gothic rock, post grunge, alternative rock. It is also built very well and is very LOUD!! Great for live gigs in aprk or huge areas!! Very expensive, but worth every penny!!
I just got this incredible amp about 2 months ago, used. I went to the store, tried it out and loved it. I took it home and turned it up to 4 on the lead channel, it blew my mind. The tube tone was unbeleivable. The sound is amazing! This is without a doubt the greatest amplifier that has ever been made! If you have the money, YOU NEED TO GET THIS AMP!
This AMp ROCKS!!!!! From the first time I plugged into it, I knew it was the one. The volume is great, and I love the independent volume for each channel! The gain is great! You can play anything with this amp!! Its also great if your the only guitarist in your group because of all the controls, channels, and settings you have to play with. Its like having two or three guitars! It's a little costy, but worth it. BUY THIS AMP!
