The Marshall Class5 Custom Limited Edition 5W 1x10 Tube Guitar Combo Amp features 5 Watts of power and true Class A circuitry from input to output, producing pure vintage Marshall tone. Created in response to numerous requests for œthe sound of a Plexi at a fraction of the size and volume “ the new Class5 range aims to answer those low wattage, big tone prayers.
Five Watts of EL84 power and a simple feature set of Volume, Bass, Middle, and Treble are the Class5s secret weapons. In return for minimal amp circuitry you receive genuine Class A tone, widely regarded as the purest in amplifier design and rich in smooth second-harmonic distortion. The all-tube signal path offers a wealth of untainted analogue tones right at your finger tips with sparkling cleans, full-bodied crunch and glorious lead tones just a dial turn away. The Class5 amp responds naturally to playing dynamics and on-the-fly guitar control adjustments, making for a truly interactive playing experience.
All of this amazing Class A tone and low wattage make the C5-01 combo the ideal studio/home amplifier. While tone purists can enjoy the authentic all-valve timbre, pedal fanatics and studio engineers alike will find the Class5 provides the perfect sonic foundation on which to build their sound.
The new Class5 combo features the custom designed Celestion G10F-15 loudspeaker. This 10" tone cone equips the combo with fantastic bottom-end clout for an amp of its stature, yet also retains tonal clarity and definition. The rear panel offers both 16 Ohm and headphones outputs, with the latter doubling as the C5-01s new Low Power Mode. Selecting this option without headphones connected routes the low power signal (about 50mW) directly to the amps internal loudspeaker. As a result, this volume is well suited to headphones-free home practice.
Aesthetically, the Class5 combo goes back-to-basics with cool vintage styling. The model features black tolex with an exclusive EC fret cloth.
The entire Class5 range is manufactured and quality controlled at Marshall HQ in the heart of the UK. Every Class5 combo is meticulously built and tested by some of the most skilled hands in the business. Its this precision craftsmanship, together with specially sourced components and materials, that afford the Class5 range the durability you would expect of a Marshall.
If youre looking for a low wattage amp with tons of analogue character, unique style and robust build quality then look no further. The Class5 range really is all-tube Marshall tone at its best “ pure, audacious and inspiring.

The custom limited edition with the blues breaker "fret cloth" and the low power mode/headphone switch is fantastic. Not only do you get the super cool retro styling, you also get the new low power setting which BTW rocks! An unexpected and quite pleasant surprise is that the tubes are easier access and are mounted downward at the very rear of the amp. Should make changing them a lot easier. I believe this is the only class 5 with this feature. The class 5 head has the tubes mounted upward and the standard class 5 has them sideways. The sound of the low power mode is like the class 5 turned up and on steroids. I love my Marshall Haze 15, but they really should have made a combo version as opposed to the Haze 40 which is quite heavy. The class 5 custom LE will replace my other class 5's and the Haze 15 as my go to rehearsal amp! Thanks to the folks at Marshall for getting it right on this one.
Exactly what you would expect from marshall, just a lot less watts. Absolutely amazing tone. Think fresh cream, beckola, bluesbreakers, hendrix, zeppelin to name a few artist/albums. All very achiavable tones with this amp. If you could mic it and run that through a good PA system, there's no need for another amp. Plays well with pedals and such. I run an SG standard and a stratocaster through it. All Gibsons will sound great through it, fenders as well. It's kinda heavy for a 5 watt amp, but believe me I'm not about to complain. Mine is in a very smooth white finish, but the black is slick also. All around great amp.
