I wouldn't buy this again.

Comments about Marshall CODE 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

The cleans are good. I like the Bluesbreaker and JTM sounds. I didn't try to go on my iOS but the controls on the amp were understandable. But the high gain is screechy with a whistling irritating sound. The amp is loud with a surround type of sound that pushes air to make it seem full but not stereo and not natural. Its like A/V sound versus a real guitar amp sound. The default setting has an annoying gate although I'm sure you can turn it off. I sent it back.

I owned tube amps, software and a Blackstar IDcore.

Comments about Marshall CODE 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

What a great and versatile modeling amp!! This is my first venture into upscale amps. I am so truly happy with the outcome. I have had this amp for about 2 weeks and am STILL discovering features and FX's!! It seems this easy to move amp will do just about anything. You've got 100 pre-set FX's. So what ever kind of music you play, I'll bet this amp will cover it completely. I really enjoy the deep clean sound this amp puts out. You can use your phone, computer, or a stomp-box to operate this amp. BUT, you don't have to have any of those to enjoy this amp! Marshall has come through once again.

Comments about Marshall CODE 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

I love the Code 25, but it's not without problems. First if you want the classic tube sound and your short on funds. This amp is great. On the downside the controls of the 25 and 50's when placed in and amp stand become hard to read and even harder to get to. Marshall has some great software for my IPad so I can change my just from my tablet. Downside to the software is that it doesn't flip when you rotate your tablet. Which confics with other software I run. Ideally the best of the bunch would be the Code 100. With the nice front controls.

Comments about Marshall CODE 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

Let me say that I honestly never was a Marshall fan. I was looking for a small amp that was very portable, light weight, but had some punch to it. I did alot of research on many different combo amps. I wanted to stay in the $200ish price range. So I headed to GC to check some of them out. I tried Cube, Blackstar, fender, line 6 and then the Marshall Code 25. The Marshall code amp blew away the other amps, they weren't even in the same ball park. So I bought it. I have had it for 4 days now and have probably at least already put 30 hours of playing time on it. I love this amp and would highly recommend it.
It is also a loud little monster. I had the volume up to 3 and was like, I could definitely gig with this amp. It is loud enough, and stays true in sound, the bottom does fart out when turned up.
So if you get a chance to get one, grab it, you will love it. Well done Marshall, well done!!!!!!!!

Comments about Marshall CODE 25W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

I want to state that I own a beautifully awesome JCM2000 TSL122. I state this because I end up comparing the CODE to the TSL a lot. Overall the CODE does what it's supposed to: model a series of Marshall amps. It does this very well in fact. I tried most of the presets already and found a few that I really like. I really liked the "Plexi" and JTM sound. That is the sound I associate with Marshall. I dialed up some nice crunchy tones and the built-in speaker did an excellent job at recreating the sounds in my bedroom. I kept the volume at a moderate level but I could tell the amp can get much louder. Editing the tones on the CODE is pretty straight forward, just remember to hit the "Store/Exit" button. Playing with the gain, pickup selection and guitar volume controls I could get a nice range of sounds from my favorite presets. My TSL has a certain "feel" when playing, and the CODE had a similar, but not exact, feel. The modeling is very nicely done, kudos Marshall and Softube. I did not use many of the built-in effects (mostly reverb) but they did the job if you wanted delay or other modulation. The reverb was ok - not as nice as my TSL's actual spring reverb. Note that most of the default reverbs setup on the presets were 'room' reverb. I changed them to 'spring' and had a nicer sound with that selection. As stated, most of the presets were nice but I am not a fan of most of them tones. It's not a preset quality problem its just my personal preference. The JCM800 sound was convincing but I'm not a JCM800 fan. The JVM and DSL sounds were really nice, especially the clean tones. I could dirty them up with guitar volume and gain just like the clean channel on my TSL. Nicely done! I used the Marshall Gateway app, it works, but found myself using the amp settings more because the app is a little .. finicky. I used the headphone/line out as well and it worked as expected direct into my DAW.
