This Acoustic Amp is the best on the market!

By Denny James

from Saint Louis, Missouri

Comments about Marshall AS100D 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

An outstanding piece of state of the art equipment for the studio and live performances. It has the the quality needed for recording as well the power for live audiences. Small, medium and larges venues are not a problem for this unit. I have tried them all. I had the 50 watt version of this amp and traded up to this unit. Marshall would not put it's name on a shoddy piece of equipment in my experience.

Great Acoustic Amp

By John Evans

from Encinitas, CA

Comments about Marshall AS100D 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I did a lot of research and listened to as many acoustic amps as I could find. I ended up selecting the Marshall AS100D because it allowed the real sound of my Goodall acoustic electric guitar to ring out without changing its very bright tone. And, when you want digital effects there are lots of choices to play with. I like that the digital effects are subtle enhancements of the guitars natural tone. I was a bit concerned about the 100 watts being too loud, but it really isn't overwhelmingly loud. The amp itself is very attractive and looks to be of high quality. So far, I'm quite pleased with my decision to buy this amp.

Worth Every Cent!

By WILLIAM MOORE

from Houston Tx

Comments about Marshall AS100D 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

The AS100D is the best acoustic amp setup out there. I use it weekly to host acoustic jam nights at local venues. The clarity is unmatched by any others I have used, and the features are just what you need if you are solo or wish to use it as a host amp/pa. I have this one and the AS50D also. If you are serious about your sound, and need an amp of this category, then this is the one you should get. It's heavy and well built. The (2) 8" speakers really push and this amp gets loud. We have run all kinds of instruments and mics through it (including bass guitars). If you don't want the weight and don't need as many channels, then I recommend the AS50D as an alternative. I wouldn't part with either.

singer/songwriter's dream

By jimmy hicks

from deland, florida

Comments about Marshall AS100D 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

bought this about two years ago. ive just recently unlocked this amp/pa's potential with a little tweaking. with the eq's for mic and guitar i can dial in my sound how i want it. can also get some cool sounds from the effects. it comes with a little stompbox to switch effects on and off which is a plus. i got everything i needed. has always worked properly. the only downside is that it weighs almost 50 pounds. but with all its great features that is to be expected. it gets loud if you need it to be and has anti-feedback so you can get rid of unwanted noise.

Best Acoustic amp out there especially for the money!

By ROBERT NARDELLI

from huntington n.y.

Comments about Marshall AS100D 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

This amp sounds amazing! This was my forth amp purchase in the last year, and by far the best sounding one with great features. I never even thought about Marshall for an acoustic amp. If I had know it would of saved me a lot of time. I have a Martin D28 with a LLBrags pick up and with the right settings on the amp the true sound of the Martin is nicely reproduced. Fullbody sound with crisp highs. The effects are very clean sounding and easy to use. The seperate mike input also sounds great. You can actually use this at a small venue as an all in one PA. It also comes with a foot pedal...was not expecting that. I guess my only complaints would be the weight and it's really not that bad. One of the prior amps I had tried was the AS50D and for the extra few hundred dollars it is well worth it. I highly reccomend this amp.

Very vert happy

By CHARLES SMITH

from Port Huron, MI

Comments about Marshall AS100D 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I've waited awhile to make this purchase. Did lots of research. Played it at Guitar Center in Florida. Read all the reviews. So far I can't find a thing to fault. It has so many features that I'm still in learning mode. My Gibson Hummingbird Pro sounds so great through this amp. Even though I am just a hobbyist, the Marshall name says it all. You won't go wrong with this amp.

Comments about Marshall AS100D 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I mostly play for myself in my home, sometimes for friends and family. I really care about sound quality and have an ear for it. I did a LOT of research, too. I just want something that has rich quality sound, power when I need or want it, built-in effects, etc.. This amp was the right one for me hands-down. Also seems like the best overall value as it exceeded much more expensive products I considered (or owned in some cases - Fender, Fishman) and has many more options for additional instruments and mics. Nice that it comes with a footswitch, too. Very pleased with the purchase of this Marshall AS100D accoustic amp!

Comments about Marshall AS100D 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I use in my home studio and my priority was on sound quality and value. I have owned a Fender Acoustic 30, a Fishman PRO-LBX-600 and tried a Fender Acoustic Pro for a week. The latter was a sweet sounding amp, but limited effects, and the higher price made me take a closer look at this Marshall amp - I read all the great reviews, then ordered it - and within an hour of unpacking and playing, I knew this was the perfect amp for me. Not the most lightweight amp, but not an issue for me. Really happy with this purchase! Makes me want to play more. Hope the neighbors don't hate me as it does have plenty of power. I love it!!!

I have been using the As50D for a few years, but I was looking for something more powerful. After testing some other brands I decided to order the AS 100D and I was not disappointed I found the same quality of the smaller brother with many more options. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

This amp sounds great and looks amazing! The only down side is the weight if you're using it for gigging. It' s like picking up a 45 pound bag of dog food or horse feed. But it does a great job!!

The only negative I have regarding my new marshal amp is after playing two weeks, my fellow band member said what is that on the floor? Apparently three control knob tips had simply fallien off on the floor. What's with that?

Comments about Marshall AS100D 2x8 Acoustic Combo Amp:

I played my Gibson J45 through several amps, even the Bose. This amp is the clearest most natural sounding of all of them in my opinion. I have been playing a through a GENZ BENZ 60LT for 10 yrs now and decided it was time to try the newer amps from what I had been reading. With my old and, and a Fishman Pro pre amp, I thought it sounded awfully good. I naturally started with the Fishman and the Bose and then after a few others I finally tried the Marshall AS100D and it blew me away. Even vocals, which I usually don't like through an amp sound crisp and natural. This amp offers loads of features and the digital effects are as good as any I've heard also. I would like it to be a little lighter, but for a 100 watt amp, it's not bad. If your an acoustic guitar player and are in the market for an amp, I definately would urge you to check this one or it little brother the AS50D out.
