The Marshall amp+ this cab will make your house and small venues shake. Im running top end EMG's in my bass and the amount of distortion you can get on the classic channel is equivalent to the Marshall guitar line. This cab is built nice and sturdy, but has no wheels so its a beast to move around.
i bought this cab along with the mb450h to replace the amp i was using. i had a 100 watt combo amp before this and needed to upgrade because i couldnt compete with my guitarists or drummer. i used to have my old amp turned up to 10 and was worried about blowing the speakers, but i havent gone past a 3 with this new setup so ill never have to worry about that. i was getting a weird buzz when i first hooked everything up, but that turned out to be my instrument cable. that went away once i bought a new one. i also replaced the speaker cables that came with the head with some monsters. great set-up. the only other thing i plan to do is pick up the mbc115 to finish off the stack. buy this!
With this cabinet I'm able to create a real variety of smooth, and crisp bass lines. It's being powered with a Peavey ProBass 1000 preamp and a Peavey CS1400 (bridged mono). The cabinet produces a wide range of frequencies at all power levels; doesn't have to be played loudly to sound beautiful. I spent weeks researching available high-end 4x10 cabinets before making a purchase decision. The Marshall cabinet is an efficient performer, and will surely make any serious bass player very happy.
