More channels, more gain, more versatility.

This half stack includes the Marshall JVM410H Tube Amp Head and 1960V Vintage Speaker Cabinet.

JVM410H Tube Amp Head

In a nutshell, the Marshall all-tube, 4-channel JVM410H 100-Watt tube head is the most versatile Marshall amplifier ever made. It also boasts more gain than any other Marshall to date — and that's really saying something!

Each of its 4 channels — Clean, Crunch, OD1 & OD2 — are not only completely independent of each other, they all boast 3 Modes, all 12 of which are footswitchable and feature their own unique gain structure. It makes the JVM 4-channel effectively 12 Marshalls in one!

The JVM410H amp head has studio-quality digital reverb with a level control for each channel. This is also footswitchable, as are the amp's two Master Volume controls and the Series/Parallel effects loop. Resonance and Presence are equipped with master controls.

Even though the head and combo both house 28 controls and 8 LED switches on their front panels, they're incredibly simple to understand because of the extremely logical layout. Each of the 4 channels has the usual suspects when it comes to controls — Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble & Gain — accounting for 20 of the 28 controls right away. Take away the 4 reverb controls and you're only left with 4 Master controls — 2 Master Volumes plus Resonance & Presence.

Add to this an ingenious footswitch (UK patent pending) and the fact all the amp's switching (channel/modes, Reverb, Master Volume selection, FX loop) can be done via MIDI and you're looking at an incredibly flexible amp! The 6-way footswitch boasts 7 LEDs and memory, plus it connects to the amp via a regular guitar cable.

From the cleanest clean to the filthiest distortion ever found in a Marshall and all points in-between, the JVM410H all-valve amp head will give you whatever tone you need right when you need it.

1960V Vintage Speaker Cabinet

The Marshall 1960V Vintage Speaker Cabinet puts out beautiful tone at any volume. The addition of an impedance (4 or 16 ohm) mono/stereo switching mechanism has transformed the "industry standard" 1960 into the ultimate speaker cab. This 280W Marshall cab is loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers.

I was looking for a full-tone tube amp that would satisfy the requirement for both rhythm and lead amplification. Big demand for a single unit but I found it in this amp. The versatility is outstanding and since it's programmable I never have to worry about the "whoops! too many clicks" when selecting one of my 4 channel presets. I don't use more than 4 amp settings during a gig anyway and it is pretty amazing the range available to you. It's no problem going from mellow soft warm tone, to a dirty little funky thing, then slide into a cool overdriven crunch, and finally a nice ear bleeding, in your face lead setting. I'd have to say that this is probably the best professional amp on the market for all around use. Oh yeah, the reverb on the amp is studio quality which was surprising to me but quite nice. All in all, a 5 star amp with a 5 star price tag. It is worth the cost, the versatility affords such a wide range of sound that it's like having multiple amps in one so it evens out in the long run. I am in a working band and play lead guitar and I demand an amp with the power and tone to allow me to cut through and present; this amp provides that.

  • Great tone and Versatility

As reviewed by Stringblade on 6/7/2010

I really dig this amp! I needed an amp to replace a my last stack (Line 6 Vetta II) that was destroyed by fire, (actually it was from the water sprinkler). I decided to keep an open mind for the next amp since it was a fresh start. I tried out Boogies, different Peavy models, EVH, you name it I tried it. But I always kept coming back to this amp, it sounds great and can be used for so many different styles, I just had to have it. Some key notes: *It has great distortions *It has the cleanest Marshall sound I have ever heard. *The footswitch is built very well and is quite powerful. *You can also control it from a midi system if you are tying everything together by an effects system. ie G system. *Great Marshall tone that cuts right through the mix. Do yourself a favor and check this amp out. It is very versatile, and can be controlled via midi.
