Superb construction, sound, and features.

This Marshall full stack includes one JVM410H Tube Amp Head and a 1960A angled cab with a 1960B straight cab for some serious stage presence. JVM410H Tube Amp HeadIn a nutshell, the Marshall all-valve, 4-channel JVM410H 100-Watt tube head is the most versatile Marshall amplifier ever made. It also boasts more gain than any other Marshall to date--and that's really saying something! Each of its 4 channels — Clean, Crunch, OD1 & OD2 — are not only completely independent of each other, they all boast 3 Modes, all 12 of which are footswitchable and feature their own unique gain structure. It makes the JVM 4-channel effectively 12 Marshalls in one!The JVM410H amp head has studio-quality digital reverb with a level control for each channel. This is also footswitchable, as are the amp's two Master Volume controls and the Series/Parallel effects loop. Resonance and Presence are equipped with master controls.Even though the head and combo both house 28 controls and 8 LED switches on their front panels, they're incredibly simple to understand because of the extremely logical layout. Each of the 4 channels has the usual suspects when it comes to controls — Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble & Gain--accounting for 20 of the 28 controls right away. Take away the 4 reverb controls and you're only left with 4 Master controls--2 Master Volumes plus Resonance & Presence.Add to this an ingenious footswitch (UK patent pending) and the fact all the amp's switching (channel/modes, Reverb, Master Volume selection, FX loop) can be done via MIDI and you're looking at an incredibly flexible amp! The 6-way footswitch boasts 7 LEDs and memory, plus it connects to the amp via a regular guitar cable. From the cleanest clean to the filthiest distortion ever found in a Marshall and all points in-between, the JVM410H all-valve amp head will give you whatever tone you need right when you need it.1960A and 1960B 300W 4x12 Guitar Extension CabinetThe Marshall 1960 Speaker Cabinet puts out beautiful tone at any volume. The addition of an impedance (4 or 16 ohm) mono/stereo switching mechanism has transformed the "industry standard" 1960 into the ultimate speaker cab. These 280W Marshall cabs are loaded with Celestion Vintage speakers. The bottom cabinet is traditionally square-shaped with casters while the top speaker has an angled front.

I bought this amp back in the summer of 2010 and let me tell you this amp is king of marshalls! It's like they have put every model they have ever made and put them all into this one head. I have it plugged into a marshall hand wired half stack and it could very easily blow the windows right out of the house!!! The clean channel is so very smooth and the crunch channel sets my #ss on fire. There are 3 modes to each channel.I am still tweaking away at this amp. The memory on this thing blows my mind!! I am going to tell it to you like this. I will never buy another amp.THis is the king daddy right here.Go work your @ss off and get this peice of MARSHALL AMPLIFICATION !! All those hours you have toiled over will be rewarded when you take this monster home and plug it into that socket in the wall.

As reviewed by Ed on 3/11/2011

I bought the JVM 410H as well as the 1960A and 19060B cabs a few weeks ago and am still more than satisfied with my purchase. This is an amp I fell in love with a couple years ago when playing it in a store, but finally could afford. I figured with the 4 channels AND the 3 modes per channel AND the included 6 switch/preset footswitch AND independent reverb controls among other things this would be the amp to last me the rest of my life. Granted, I'm a huge fan of the classic Marshall sound and if you are too I guarantee you'll find the tone this thing offers to be amazing. Between being able to customize your tone within each channel it also includes a Presence control and Resonance control which allow you to further shape your tone. And honsetly I never understood those controls until I played this amp. Imagine a graphic equalizer. With both of those knobs all the way down it would be shaped thusly ^ with the knobs all the way up thisly v. The R is the low end and the P is the high end so you can play wit hthem however you want to scoop your mids (or unscoop them for that matter) This is the perfect amp for me as it does everything I want. No FX built in (other than reverb), but it does have the option to add an FX loop. And yes, while all four channels have 3 modes that does not mean 12 channels. It is important to note that changing your mid control in OD1 green will affect you mid in OD1 orange and red. That is to say that whatever you dial in tone and volume-wise for each channel will carry through each mode, which is why it's nice to have two OD channels (I use one for rhythm and the other for leads, solos, melodies and whatnot). No problems with the head or cabs, but the footswitch I received on purchase was faulty, luckily they guys at GC were good to me and gave me a 4 channel (the JVM 210 version) to tide me over til my 6 channel came in, which I just traded the 4 channel in for today at no extra cost to me. If that experience colors your perception of Marshall it may be of interest that head and cabs are made in England and the FS was made in India. Unrelated to my review, but it made me think of the MA series, which is outsourced. I'd be wary of buying one of those. I hope I answered any questions a potential buyer of this amp may have in as unbiased a way anyone who is in love with it could!
