Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I am running an old GK 400RB head through this 104HR and it sounds absolutely AMAZING. Sure its an old amp but this cabinet delivers all the way: I have used this set up with a old 70's jazz bass as well my Kubicki Factor (active) and the sound is fat and punchy with clarity.

    Usig as a top Cabinet

    By Ken W

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I have 4 different Markbass cabs that I use for various venues, and rehearsals. The 410HR always sits on top of my 410HF when playing outside venues, and inside when playing classic rock. They are pushed by a SD800 amp, and it works quite well. The HR410 gives me the mids I need to hear at the correct Cab hight Mid level and frequency for classic rock. No power problems here with these cabs. I've had comments on these everywhere I play. I love 'em.

With a little EQ this cab is fantastic..

    By Chris DaBassPlayer

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I purchased this cab after trying it out in the store with a Markbass amp (tube 800). I needed a new cab with high power handling, light weight, high volume, and excellent tone of course. I also wanted something with a little "color" to give some warmth to my mid-range. Since I play 5 string a very big important thing was low end reach to the low B frequencies. I considered the Ampeg 410HLF, some Mesa stuff, along with a few others. This cab fit the bill nicely. It is VERY light and compact. It is also very loud, and reproduces the low B very strongly. I power mine with a 500 Watt MoMark amp. Tone wise I found some issues. The cab does have a nice warmth to it, but the low end was a little muddy. I ended up getting a rackmount EQ to clean things up a little. Once I adjusted things I was very happy. (and yes I did check that the amp wasn't the cause of tone issues.. plugged into one or two other cabs that I know were flat or nearly so to see what the amp's natural sound was) The cab is definitely more clear and has more mid range coloring then the Ampeg speakers (as well as some more punch). It is not as clear and crisp as the Mesa cab I have, but it is also half the weight and not as "cold" as the Mesa is either. So while this cab is not perfect (but there isn't one that is..) it is a great choice if weight is a concern. You need to listen to it though to see if it is right for you.

    Sweet!

    By Rob Witherby

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

This is a great amp. It is loud and does not have like a dull boring sound. It is very clear and punchy when it's suppose to be punchy. It is great for most types of music and with my opinion doesn't lack anything. This amp has a very nice sound and is very clear and clean. Perfect for almost anything you can do with a bass. There are also choices of Mark Bass tube amp heads which make this sweet amp even better!

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

If you want to shake some rooms, this is the cab for you. It will also save your back with the Neodymium magnets. They reduce the weight and also add to the overall sound. Markbass is a very trusted name in the bass industry and has a reputation to back it up.

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

This cabinet along with the Little Mark head are incredible for your rig and a smart investment. I can lug it anywhere without breaking my back and the sound and power are unmatched. I play a lot of upright, and the acoustic tone that comes through is phenomenal.

    Sweet Cabinet!!!

    By ddmatthews

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I played on this cabinet at my local GC. The tone was very deep and well pronounced while the mids and highs also were nicely balanced. The lightweight is unbelievable. It's a bit pricey, but these are new to the market and have a great sound despite being featherweights. I think that the price of the cabinet is totally justified by the somewhat lower prices of markbass heads. All-in-all a very sweet cab.

    Surprisingly worth the money!

    By Lynn

    from Aurora, CO

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

Ok, so I will admit, when it comes to amps etc, I prefer to usually buy an item used because the price of a new one just shocks me. I went with some band members to check out some new equipment. We were shown this one and were told it was the best for playing a variety of music. Since we switch from needing the lower tones to needing more of the higher tones. Upon listening to one of our guitarists play on this, I understood. We knew we had to have it and we purchased this one along with a few others by the same maker. The quality was amazing and clear. We had no problems setting it up to get an amazing sound. I would recommend this as well as anything else by this manufacturer. The quality is OUTSTANDING!
