Yes, expensive, but worth to try because you don't want to change or regret it after you buy something less expensive and other brand! So, you have to try... do it.

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I am running an old GK 400RB head through this 104HR and it sounds absolutely AMAZING. Sure its an old amp but this cabinet delivers all the way: I have used this set up with a old 70's jazz bass as well my Kubicki Factor (active) and the sound is fat and punchy with clarity.

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

This is a great 410 cabinet. I have had it for 6 months and have waited to post a review, until playing it. This cab does it all. I have it paired with the Markbass TTE500 amp head and get amazing sound and tone. Deep lows and well defined mids and highs. Easy to transport and great modern or vintage tone. This cabinet can literally shake, rattle, and roll, your world. Worth what you pay for it. Can't wait to get my second one. Build quality is top notch. Love it.

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I play a 5 string bass and this cabinet rocks. The low end is punchy even at low volume inside my house. It's the best cabinet I have ever owned and I would replace it if it were stolen. I'm retired but can carry this with no problem. A 5 string low B is about 28 hertz and this cab shakes the floor. When I play Kryptonite I try and count the beer bottles that I can rattle of the tables. I did a 12 pack last Friday!!

              Great Cabinet

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I use this with the Markbass Little Mark Tube 800 Bass Amp and the tone is incredible. I use it with rock bands and I have so much headroom to spare.
I love the size and portability. Just small enough to fit in my 4-door sedan! And it doesn't weight much either!
I was able to use one of the special sale coupons and got a geat deal as well! Regardless, the product quality is unrivaled.

              Usig as a top Cabinet

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I have 4 different Markbass cabs that I use for various venues, and rehearsals. The 410HR always sits on top of my 410HF when playing outside venues, and inside when playing classic rock. They are pushed by a SD800 amp, and it works quite well. The HR410 gives me the mids I need to hear at the correct Cab hight Mid level and frequency for classic rock. No power problems here with these cabs. I've had comments on these everywhere I play. I love 'em.

With a little EQ this cab is fantastic..

              By Chris DaBassPlayer

              from North New Jersey

Comments about Markbass Standard 104HR Rear-Ported Neo 4x10 Bass Speaker Cabinet:

I purchased this cab after trying it out in the store with a Markbass amp (tube 800). I needed a new cab with high power handling, light weight, high volume, and excellent tone of course. I also wanted something with a little "color" to give some warmth to my mid-range. Since I play 5 string a very big important thing was low end reach to the low B frequencies. I considered the Ampeg 410HLF, some Mesa stuff, along with a few others. This cab fit the bill nicely. It is VERY light and compact. It is also very loud, and reproduces the low B very strongly. I power mine with a 500 Watt MoMark amp. Tone wise I found some issues. The cab does have a nice warmth to it, but the low end was a little muddy. I ended up getting a rackmount EQ to clean things up a little. Once I adjusted things I was very happy. (and yes I did check that the amp wasn't the cause of tone issues.. plugged into one or two other cabs that I know were flat or nearly so to see what the amp's natural sound was) The cab is definitely more clear and has more mid range coloring then the Ampeg speakers (as well as some more punch). It is not as clear and crisp as the Mesa cab I have, but it is also half the weight and not as "cold" as the Mesa is either. So while this cab is not perfect (but there isn't one that is..) it is a great choice if weight is a concern. You need to listen to it though to see if it is right for you.
