I use this with the markbass iii head this thing packs tons of low end with a wicked punch! At 4 ohms with a 500 watt head I have no problem keeping up with anyone when it comes to volume and the portability is awesome! easy to throw in the cab of my pickup truck with that tiny head and my bass I am ready to jam anywhere great tone I highly recommend this cabinet!
Bought this about 3 weeks ago. I don't have a car, so I transit everywhere, and portability is paramount. I've paired this with a GK MB800 micro head, and this rig KICKS! I've played some loud bars and I've never had to go above 2:00 or so. The tone from this MarkBass remains tight and controlled, even at loud volumes. Construction is solid, reliable, and classy. Having not had it for long, I can't speak to long-term reliability, but I'm confident I can keep this guy rocking for the long haul.
I went from a 4x10 Hartke cab to this 2 x12. Never,et anyone tell you these 2x12 don't have enough low end. The power and bass is unbelievable. I had a concern about the mids being able to cut through the rest f the band but that only occurred because the practice room was small and the fequency of the speakers were wid then what I was used to. Mark Bass does not make a cover for the model but. Went online and had a custom cover made for $60. This cab is nice and light and sounds great.
This cabinet is great. It has a lot of power and is still lightweight and portable, which is ideal for the bass player who is tired of lugging around large amps and speakers. The size, weight and power is the reason I purchased this cabinet. I didn't want to sacrifice power, but needed a cab that was portable and fit in the trunk of my car. This cabinet delivers. As with any new cabinet, you will need to make adjustments to your EQ settings on your amp to get your sound, but once you dial it in, you are set. Coupled with a powerful amp, this is all you need to keep up with the rest of the band in the studio and at gigs.
