Comments about Markbass Micromark 801 60W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:

Extreme portability and tone in one. Bought for home use and for busking with acoustic guitars. Have used with fender p and j basses, as well as active 8 string and acoustic bass guitars. All sound natural, warm and full. The VPF Filter is clean and cutting. Prefer it about halfway up. For only 45 watts, it's quite loud. And for a single 8" speaker, the depth of tone is striking. Very pricey, but well worth the cost. Hoping for long life out of this little wonder.

Comments about Markbass Micromark 801 60W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:

Wow. First time I played it at GC I started thinking, "What do I need to sell?".
Brought it home, started playing with tunes, the thought became, "Ahh ok...my tone sounds like the pros...I think I'll keep this thing." I have a couple basses, all different; this amp is a champ for all of them, including the 5 string, which I was a little apprehensive about it handling. Pbass sounds fantastic. Lots of tone options. It's not made for a big stage, unless you go direct, which I'm sure will sound amazing as well. I could not ask for a better sound.

Comments about Markbass Micromark 801 60W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:

If you have played various amps, or instruments, over the years and are not thrilled the majority of the time, but one day you try something new, and are just floored at what you're hearing...that is this little tone monster. I immediately went into "what can I sell?" mode. I have zero regrets. Further, I noticed when I was playing along with tunes at home, with this wonder, a thought entered my mind, "oh...now I sound as good as the dude on the song!". It's that good. It's not built for big stage sound, unless you go direct, but for all else, you cannot stop this tone, it will make you sound like a "pro". Enjoy!

    Big sound little package

Comments about Markbass Micromark 801 60W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:

I have a 5 string Zon Sonus bass. I was concerned about this little amp would handle the B string without buzzing or distortion. It performed like a champ. I just played a gig tonight in a 230 seat theatre which was sold out (a community theatre musical) and this amp did the job. It doesnt have the subtle warmth of my Ampeg B15 but for a solid state amp its great. No hum, clean sound.

Comments about Markbass Micromark 801 60W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:

I have had this amp for a few weeks now and it is amazing! The quality of the sound this combo outputs is awesome. I cannot believe an amp this size, that I'm using as a practice amp, sounds so good. It is pricey, but I was lucky to get mine while on sale making this combo amp great purchase. This is a highly recommended product.

    Great practice amp/small gig amp

    By John Zimmermann

    from Missouri

Comments about Markbass Micromark 801 60W 1x8 Bass Combo Amp:

This amp sounds awesome especially if you don't like a tweeter. It's got plenty of volume for acoustic type acts or at band practice. If you play in a metal band or loud volume band this isn't for you however. I use this for practice and for very small gigs without a drummer. The amp has awesome growl at higher volumes that larger more powerful amps don't until you push them. My Markbass 121 would be way too loud to get that growl at a small gig. It's a bit on the pricey side, but you'll love it if you can afford to spend $500 on a practice amp.
