    Markbass amp F500 review

    By Rodney Alvarez

    from Texas

The sound of this amp is sweet and it fits in a gig bag. The other bass player asked me if he could start using my amp, because he likes it so much. Markbass has got a great product and the hype/buzz is in this case is very deserving.
Great features. Love the Mute option-just pull the volume knob out and I can tune using the tuner out jack w/out being heard. The DI has a level control which helps the soundguy. Good eq. section as well. Plenty of power in a small frame-- Bye Bye big amps.
I have used this amp for about 4 months and it performs wonderfully. The knobs feel solid and the amp stays cool w/mini fan on side.
I wanted to buy an amp that I would not have regrets afterwards. I spent more than the average price of other amps w/same power rating and it was/is a wise decision.

    Love this amp

    By Mick S

    from Austin, TX

I upgraded from a GK 800rb to this. The GK as a brick solid workhorse, but tended to have issues from time to time. I bought to use as a practice amp and gig backup. I never imagined that with such a small footprint and the face that it was made by a no-name company in Italy that it would every be a long term option. Well two years later that little 7 lbs of love has saved my back and my sound. Is sounds great no mater which bass I'm using. Reliability has not been a issue at all for me. would definitely buy another.

Dynamite Comes In a Small Package

    By Steve

    from Pasadena, TX

I love this amp and my 55 year old back loves it too. I'm using the F 500 with a 2-10 Traveler on top of a 1-15 Traveler. The sound is great with absolutely no fade when I punch. It is easy to use and has all the necessary features without the extraneous. Simplicity is the art of design. Just plug in and go. On small gigs I simply grab the 2-10 cab. Everyone in the know has been thoroughly impressed by the sound and envious of the light weight. This is the future folks. As a busy part time singer/bass player and a full time chiropractor, I highly recommend this product.

Big tone comes in small packages....

    By allthebass

    from Bettendorf, IA

500W RMS @ 4 ohm in a 5 lb. head? Are you kidding me? Wow, that's impressive, and what's more impressive is the tone. Nice tight bass, versatile eq and I'd swear there's a tube in there if I didn't know better because the tone is on the warm side and not sterile at all. Markbass makes great stuff and just never ceases to impress me, try it with your own ears if you don't believe me.
