Comments about Markbass Blackline Little Mark 250 250W Bass Amp Head:

I bought the Blackline Little Mark 250 as a back up amp to my regular gigging amp. Currently using it for rehearsals with two 1 x 15 acoustic bass speakers. Sounds great! I would use it for small or medium size venues on it's own and large rooms with direct out to the "house system". This was my first Mark Bass product purchase, and very impressed with the quality of this unit.

    Great Light Weight Bass Head!

Comments about Markbass Blackline Little Mark 250 250W Bass Amp Head:

I was looking for a "Gig Rig" Bass Head. My SWR Working Pro 400 is great, but playing small pub gigs, it can be overkill. I am using it with a 1x12 Bass Cab with Horn. It is very easy to to get a good sound with the controls. The VLE allows my to cut out the Horn from the front of the amp, rather than reaching around the back of the Cab. I mainly play Post Punk and Shoegaze Music that ventures into Prog Rock Territory, and listening to some recordings of practices the amp's sound is very similar to the punchy Mike Rutherford's Lamb Lies Down Sound. Also it is a loud 250 Watts.

Comments about Markbass Blackline Little Mark 250 250W Bass Amp Head:

I needed an amp with less wattage for clubs so I bought one used from an out of state Guitar Center. I had a new Little Mark III years ago and it started sounding weak so I kind of forgot about Markbass. I get this amp, open the box and the top is scratched but that's only cosmetic. I hook it up at home and think "Interesting" I get it to the gig and WOW! With this head my actual bass sounds new. Very clear, but warm. I'm running it at 8 ohms through a GK Neo212 so it's 150 watts and I'm still only just over 2 on the volume. Unbelievable.

        Service and delivery comments:

        As always, packaged very well.

Comments about Markbass Blackline Little Mark 250 250W Bass Amp Head:

The Markbass Blackline 250 bass amp head is great and I'd buy it again. Great value for the quality, portable, and easy to Set up. Power is reasonable (150 watts at 8 ohms, 250 watts at 4 ohms), and its loud enough for club gigs and churches, but the direct line-out with signal level control let's you maximize the use of house mains. Deep and punchy with clean bright highs, and there are two preset tone controls to go modern or vintage in your sound. There are 2 output jacks, one is Speakon and the other is a standard quarter inch. I have two 8 ohm cabs, so I can daisychain the cabinets or run a cable to each one.
