  • Markbass is the BEST there is

As reviewed by Robabilly on 8/15/2009

Markbass is the only manufacturer that I would say makes what every bass player should own. The amp doesn't color your tone at all, so what you put in is exactly what comes out. Whether you play electric, or upright you want the sound of your bass to be the sound of your bass and that is exactly what this amp does. With the tube compressor you are able to stop notes from jumping out too much in the mix and add that nice tube warmth to your playing without getting any overdrive, even when your signal clips. Also, at only 7.5 lbs you get an amazing 500W of power that you can hold with just one hand! After using my TA501 I can't play anything else. Nothing can give me what this amp does.

  • Totally Worth It

As reviewed by Mort on 8/8/2009

I was looking for a bass head to buy. I was actually looking at an ampeg and saw that the Marks were having rebates on them. I bought this particular one. If I had to pay the regular price I wouldn't have bought it that day. I've used it a few times now and I Love it! It's powerful, it's got great variations for tone the thing is a monster and it's very lightweight. If I had to buy another amp I would definitely spend the money to buy another Markbass.
