The New York 121 bass speaker cab handles 400W of power and weighs only 29 lb, making it Markbass's lowest weight extension cabinet to date.

I bought the Markbass New York 121 cabinet about 4 months ago to use with my Markbass CMD 121P combo amp. I couldn't be happier. Together, this rig cranks out 500W of power through two 12" speakers (one 12" in my combo amp and one in the New York 121 cabinet). The power, the sound is incredible. And of course this cabinet is so light weight I can carry it in one hand and my CMD 121P amp in the other hand, making set-up and carry-out at the end of the night quick and easy. I can't imagine ever wanting or needing another bass amp.
I bought this cabinet to go with my Mini CMD 121P Combo Amp. The cabinet gives me more headroom, and the entire setup weighs less than 60 lbs. I have bigger rigs, but it's nice to have a 500w 2x12 stack that is easy to move.
I purchased this speaker cabinet as an addition to my Markbass CMD 121P combo amp which made it a stack rig with two 12" speakers. The extra cabinet also increased the power from 300 watts to 500. A lot of power for such a compact rig. Both cabinets weigh less than 60 lbs which is a lot less than just the 4-10 cabinet I was using. The best part is that I didn't lose any sound. I think my new rig sounds just as good or better than my 4-10 cabinet with the 4 space rack I used to use cutting the size in about half. I can get all the lows or highs I want with this Markbass setup and can emulate most amps even down to the vintage Fender Bassman. Markbass equipment is not cheap but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for so it's money well spent in my opinion.
