The Little Mark III amp head's DI input features a pre/post EQ switch and output level control, so you can optimize the signal you send to your mixer or recording unit. All this capability comes in the same compact size and weight as its Markbass predecessor.
Dont let the name fool you.It might be called Little Mark but its sound range is gigantic.Match it with any brand bass speacker cabinet and you will not be disappointed.I have owned mines for a 1 year.
The Mark Bass Little Mark III is a great sounding back-saver. I had been using a SansAmp RBI in a rack case with a 45 pound QSC classic power amp. I still like the sound of the RBI more, but for playing in bar bands, the sound of the LMIII fills the room well and cuts through the mix. It?s not hi-fi by any means, but suits the needs of the band and our venues perfectly. The separate line out volume control makes it easy to adjust on the fly. I?ve been using it with the Mark Bass Traveler 15 or a Schroeder 1212L and both compliment the LMIII both with sound and with portability. I bought the pricey carrying case from Mark Bass and like it, but it should have been included with the amp in my opinion. Overall, I would recommend this amp to anyone playing small and medium sized venues for all types of music.
I switched from the 2 10 combo to the separate head and cab configuration to get the lightest, easiest to move and most versatile set up. I've played Markbass for several years and love their gear. I went with the LM3 head and put it into a small rack, just large enough to include cables and tuner... works great, I can carry everything, including my bass in one load if I'm using a single cab and set up in less than a minute, including running the external tuner. Life is good.
