  • you need this

As reviewed by jeff frederick on 10/31/2011

I bought the little mark III on friday and had it on stage saturday. Other then playing it at the GC in Terra Haute IN, I had no previous hands on with the amp. I asked our drummer and lead player to listen close and tell me what they thought, what tweaking it needed, to loud, to soft, and so on. Coupled with my music man Sterling, I had an insane tone within two songs. Ease of operation, power with tons of head room, easy on the back as well. I was driving some drop d tuning strong enough to make a stale beer raise a head, and with an attack on the strings change, It got so funky you could taste it. If I have any initial complaints, it would be that it doesn't come with a rack mount kit, and the kit is an additional $30.00, which wasn't in stock by the way. Our lead player said it looks like a DeWalt tool because of the color. I told him it's a lot like me, a power tool. If you've been on your way to building the perfect rig, give this lil monster a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

  • Great value, Great Product!

As reviewed by Jerry on 9/2/2011

I've been playing bass for many years and have owned a variety of amps and basses. Most of my current playing now is to jam with friends, a few small gigs, and twice a week in a large church. I have an American Std Fender J-Bass and have tried many amps to get not only a vintage sound but also a modern sound if needed. This amp does that and more! I usually play with tone controls flat and have a wide range of sound with the VPF and VLE controls. It does old school and it does modern. If you want the tone, it's in there, you just need to find it. I was honestly considering a preamp/power amp combo until I tried this amp. My main cab is a 2x10 - great tone and more than enough power -- if the venue is too large it can run thru a board with ease.
