Just What I needed

By Daniel Torres

from Hammond IN

Comments about Mapex 330B Series Boom Stand:

This stand is great and just what I needed. It's double brace and holds my ride up very well and it barely wobbles. Several features I like most about this stand is that you can tilt the cymbal to almost any degree on the stand. For example, Most stands these days have a hideaway boom, the idea is great but for those who like to get their cymbal on a slighter tilt, it just won't work since the stand itself is in the way. Cymbal stands made back in the 90s and 80s allowed the cymbal to tilt at any angle without interfering with the stand itself which was awesome. So if your like me who likes to have your cymbal on a certain degree tilt, then this is for you. Another thing I like about this stand is the felts it comes with. One side is a felt side which has a controlled sound on the cymbal while on the other side it has a rubber side so the cymbal can move more freely. This is very good for people who want ALOT of movement in their cymbals. The only thing I wished from this stand is that it were to have a longer boom arm. The price is cheap and it may not look much, but from what I can say, it does the job and it's Just what I needed.
