wow

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Model "A" Nylon-String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Just bought one from santa clara gc store. Super clean, so warm and so loud play arpeggios on all strings. Beautiful sound and beautiful guitar, good projection and sustainability. I guess I won't need to plug it to amp because it is really loud :) And it has built in tuner wiz handy. The only problem is if you strum hard, a lot noises created and that's really bad. I don't know if this is because of the old strings or the weather (now its raining season in south SF bay area). Anyway, for me, most time I only play broken chords, so, it's really not that a big problem to me. So, I am still happy to give it a high FIVE :) But if you want to strum hard and a lot, be careful!

Decent Sound

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Model "A" Nylon-String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

As a steel string Martin owner, I lamented purchasing anything less than that. I wanted something to learn on, then move forward and up in the nylon string line. I was disappointed to find out this guitar is made in China. It came with finger prints on it, and have what looked like liquid residue dribbles in various places, which came off after wiping and polish. I almost sent it back for that reason alone. That part of the experience I was not happy about, and am wary to purchase form guitar center moving forward. Formerly, I would not have purchased a guitar site unseen, and now I never will again. I did look at it briefly at the store when it shipped in, but didn't inspect it with a fine tooth comb there. Besides that, it is a beautiful guitar for the money (I saved another $100 as a Holiday deal). It has a decent sound, and will suffice my needs for now. The action is a bit high, and will have to get the corrected. Otherwise, it is a decent guitar for this price range.

Very nice guitar

Comments about Manuel Rodriguez Model "A" Nylon-String Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This is my second guitar. I was somewhat hesitant to buy it at first, because my first one was Cordoba CP110, with laminated back and sides, pretty much like this one, with a bit more volume. However, having said this, the Mod A had outperformed Cordoba with a wider range of sound. After a couple of days I got used to the slightly less volume, but this may change when I install my next set of higher tension strings, right now I have medium tension. The onboard tuner is a nice feature to have. The neck is slightly narrower compared to the CP110, but I guess this is common for cutaway models with many manufacturers. The action is nice and the quality is good. PS: I was told by a world renown luther that buying a non laminated guitar has an advantage, because as the wood ages, the guitar takes on new properties, but laminated ones pretty much stay the same. As it is, the guitar is great for immediate use, plugged or unplugged. The same luther did say that he does not store Rodriguez due to his concerns with quality control, but that is his personal opinion. Give it a try. I enjoy mine :) Hope this helps
