Manuel Rodriguez C1 Cedar Top Classical Guitar (514320)
Availability:

A timeless traditional Spanish classical design.

Featuring a carefully chosen, solid Canadian cedar top and laminated Indian rosewood back and sides, the C1 Classical Guitar is a beauty to behold and play. The headstock and fretboard are of Indian rosewood. Nickel-plated tuners and silver-plated frets are installed to last a lifetime. The body binding and wood rosette are exquisite.

The Rodriguez Guitar is hand crafted and glued to create precise balances. From the invisible careful sanding, even inside the body, that ensures the finished instrument's purity of tone, to the beautifully unique rosette inlays around the soundhole and on the back of the neck, each classical guitar is a credit to its luthier and worthy of being handed down from one generation to another.

The tone, resonance and beauty of fine guitars are all dependent upon the wood from which they are made. The wood used in the construction of Rodriguez guitars is carefully chosen and aged to guarantee the highest quality. No wood is purchased before the tree has been cut down, and at least 2 years must elapse before the tree is turned into lumber. The wood has to be well cut from the log. The grain must be close and absolutely vertical. The shop is totally free from humidity.

The Rodriguez classical guitar features a multi-colored wood rosette, as exquisite as the sounds that issue from it. Their intricacy and beauty signify the attention to detail that characterizes every Rodriguez guitar.

this guitar is really good, excellent sound and use to use, good for beginerrs or intermidate. i would reccomand it for other players who prefer nylon string over steel string such as myself.

  • Great guitar !!

As reviewed by Alessandro S. on 6/18/2009

It's been almost a month since I bought this guitar. I wanted a classical to play bossa nova. I was deciding between the Rodriguez and the Almansa, wich was cheaper and louder too. I choose the Rodriguez C1 because of the rosewood back and sides and also because they are on the market since 1905. A few days later I was skeptical about the sound, I thought it wasn't loud enough. But I kept playing and now I love this guitar. The sound is perfect for bossa nova. The details and finishing are beautiful too.

  • The most beautifal tone.

As reviewed by Steve on 8/30/2010

I cannot believe how good this guitar has sounded, I have owned and played this fine work of art for about 3 months now. Let me just say, for the price, when I was trying many guitars out, i had a hard time, picking, then I found this, right away i knew. The sound and tone is that of a $1000 or more Classical. I really can't believe the quality woods and sound for $400 dollars. Will never buy anyything but Rodriguez now. I know why they have been selling guitars for over 100 years now.
