Overview

Malekko Heavy Industry Corporation is proud to introduce you to "TREM", the sixth pedal in the artful Omicron series.

Sick of blisters, commonly associated with the feverish twiddling of volume knobs? Do you find yourself screaming, "Enough! It's time someone created a pedal that will automatically alternate between increasing and decreasing signal amplitude, thus creating a perceivable, repeating pattern of undulation!"?
If so, rejoice!

"TREM" is a tiny little machine that packs a volumetric ton of oomph. With only two knobs, the user is able to manipulate a signal's volume within a vast spectrum of possibility: from a slow and shallow push/pull, all the way through to a quick and choppy pulse. SPEED controls the rate of gain and attenuation (the on/off LED blinks in time with this setting when the pedal is engaged), while DEPTH adjusts the amplitude of both (if you find yourself wanting more gain, there is an adjustable trimpot, easily accessible with the pedal's backplate removed).
Don't be surprised when your drummer asks, "Is that a Malekko Heavy Industry Corporation TREM in your pocket, or do you just naturally undulate so smoothly?"

Solid Tremolo in the perfect size

By Edward

from Nashville, TN

Let's be honest. Tremolo is a simple, yet very effective and beautiful effect, or at least it should be. There are a million different pedals and some are a tweaker's dream allowing you to swap wave forms and blend in dry signal and select modes, and all the online demos show you what they sound like with the knobs all the way up, which isn't a usable sound for any working guitarist. But at the end of the day, the sound I'm looking for is (smooth) tube style tremolo. I got this pedal to replace my Supa-Trem mainly for size on my new touring and session pedalboard. It sounds really good and it's small size works perfectly on my pedalboard, and it seems to be built solid. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars only because there's no 4.5 on the scale and the Depth is pretty deep and can add a bit more chop than I'm used to (more of the 'Hard' tremolo vs 'Soft'). With the small size, the slightest change in the Depth knob makes a pretty big difference, but once you find the sweet spot, it's pretty darn sweet! Overall, the sound is really nice, and that's the main factor when looking at effects pedals is the way they sound! I'm glad I have the Melekko Omicron on my board!

Best Trem in a Pedal

By mike vilogi

from Clarks Summit PA

This is my favorite trem pedal hands down. I have had about 4 different trems over the years, and this one seems to be the most natural with the the best signal flow. Simple, Mellow, and Classic sounding. HIGHLY RECOMMENEDED!
