The FR 1400 power amp has independent defeatable limiter protection on each channel and a subsonic filter for maximum amplifier efficiency. The Mackie Fast Recovery circuit reduces distortion for ultra-low noise. The Mackie FR 1400 also has XLR and 1/4" inputs with Speakon© and binding post outputs in a robust, impact-resistant, all-steel 2U rackmount chassis.

Hit the Motherload

I have the older, more expensive model so the features may be different. Sweet damn! The model isn't that powerful so depending on the speakers it may not be the best choice but wow. Amazing sound that is so nuetral you could set your watch by it. It does not color the sound at all and really just gives power to the speakers which is the job of a power amplifier. I don't use it as my main amplifier anymore because I have a stronger lighter QSC amp now and it adds a lot of weight to my rack, but I am rethinking that now.
