Overview

Crank your stomp pedals to the extreme without the fear of any hiss or excess noise with the MXR Noise Clamp. By sensing your guitar's dry signal, the Noise Clamp reduces the noise level within the effects loop, coming down hard on even the noisiest signals.

A single Trigger knob allows you to set the volume threshold at which the pedal is active, and a green LED shows whether the gate is on/off. This bad boy is capable of reducing noise up to 26dB, maintaining riff definition at extreme gain levels.

Features
  • Eliminates hiss and excess noise from your effects chain
  • A single Trigger knob sets the volume threshold
  • Capable of reducing noise up to 26dB

Almost perfect.

Comments about MXR M195 Noise Clamp Noise Reduction Guitar Effects Pedal:

I've had this pedal for a few weeks now and really like how works. It basically loops my effects chain and shuts down any noise the pedals are making e.g. overdrive, flange, phaser, etc. The dial is great to adjust as to when you'd like it to shut your system down so it can be used when playing clean to full-on face melt. The only drawback is that it's not instantaneous, though I don't know if anything could be. It shuts off in about a half second. Not bad, I would say. It gets the job done.

MXR M195 Noise Clamp VS...

By Guitar Enthusiast

from Cleveland, OH

Comments about MXR M195 Noise Clamp Noise Reduction Guitar Effects Pedal:

I tried the MXR M195 noise clamp, Boss ns-2, and the iSP Decimator. The MXR and Boss were ok, but I ended up going with the iSP Decimator. It simply worked better and made my setup completely noise free. The MXR does work well to reduce feedback, but will most likely not make get rid of all noise. It also didn't respond as quickly as the Decimator.
