I am impressed! I have been looking for a chorus pedal, because I needed one. I did not have an opportunity to try one, so I took a leap of faith....... I am glad I did! It has this thick, rich sound that is great clean. It enhances the sound in a way most chorus pedals don't. It makes my clean Strat sound big! Throw some distortion in front of it, and you have the sounds from the 80's! I use it with mostly clean tones in worship at my Church. MXR really came through with this pedal!!!! It's very easy to get a great sound out of it, and it does not take up much space on my pedal board either!

I liked this pedal ok, but I found it to add a good deal of noise when used in a high gain setting (mesa). Not so much while playing, just when you hit the switch. Otherwise it had a vintage sounding chorus sound as others had stated and the one knob is actually a plus.

Comments about MXR M148 Micro Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

Saw a video on YouTube with this pedal used on bass. I decided that I had to get one. This pedal provides the chorus tone & range of speed I've been looking for. Settings between 12 & 2 o'clock sound the best to me. Some choruses get way too "springy" for me. I like the range of the rate knob on this pedal. Couldn't be any easier to use. Some might not like the lack of a Depth knob, but that doesn't bother me at all. Mine is NOT noisy but I don't use many effects on bass. Well built pedal. I'm not super tough on pedals so this oughta last me for about 99 years. For the price, this is tough to beat for getting a good chorus effect on bass.

Sometimes I find myself in the middle of nowhere

Comments about MXR M148 Micro Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

"You don't always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go and see what happens." -Mandy Hale
I took this quote to heart when I purchased this pedal. Especially since I bought it used and in the worst condition available. The shining color of the stars was the first thing that dazzled my eyes and my pleasureful interest. Like most things in my life, having a single knob is the best thing this pedal has going for it, despite it's sound.
I'll never forget the first time I plugged this little devil in and plugged in my amp and turned on my guitar. A burst of wonder rammed my ears. My head was bent over and rammed with a thick pleasuring sound of micro chorus. I immediately fell to the ground and let out a roar of amusement. I thought to myself "Its been years since I've pleasured so intensely".
I find I can't handle this little mine of destruction every night. I have to use it in small doses otherwise I tend to suffer from tremendously bad trips. It was so bad that I came back to school after using it in a men's stall and everybody had turned to dinosaurs and I had to leave and find my one turkish black sword that I could have sworn I had left at the White House.
On a concluding note, this pedal basically handed me a bucket of dynamite and told me to run into an apartment complex on fire to save a kitten on the sixth floor.

        Mxr chorus

        By Willy Waves

        from Wilmington Delaware

Comments about MXR M148 Micro Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

I do an amplified acoustic/vocal and needed more color. I don't have time for nor care to be an engineer between tunes. This box does exactly what I wanted, more color, an effect that's very subtle but noticeable and expands my range of material by adding fullness where I would otherwise have holes. Plus ease of operation.

Good Pedal. Just a tad noisy for my liking.

        By aaron wood

Comments about MXR M148 Micro Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

This pedal sounds great and will bring options to your live sound if you are currently without a chorus pedal. It is definitely a simple pedal with one knob and it's easy to dial in the sound you want. It instantly made my rig sound better by adding chorus my distortion, overdrive, and clean tones. Like all MXR pedals, it is built like a tank and I have no doubt it would last several years. Unfortunately, I ended up returning the pedal because of the extra noise it added to my rig. I loved the new sound it added, but the noise I just couldn't shake. I am pretty picky when it comes to my gear. It drove me to the point of returning the item and upgrading to the MXR Stereo Chorus. If you can afford it, go for the Stereo Chorus. Otherwise, this makes an excellent pedal for anyone looking for chorus.

        Great Product / OK Service

        By Patrick Glantz

        from Rochester, NY

Comments about MXR M148 Micro Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

First of all, I love the pedal. I play jazz, and it's exactly the subtle chorus sound that I wanted. It does well to maintain your tone rather than change it. When I ordered it, everything on GuitarCenter.com indicated that the product was available and ready to ship when I ordered it, so I paid for two-day shipping hoping to receive the pedal before a string of gigs that I had. After I ordered it, I got a notice that it was on back-order. I called their customer service line to see what the problem was, and to find out if I could be refunded my shipping costs. They agreed, but I have still not seen the reimbursement on my statement. It wouldn't be such a problem, but this is a second time that this situation happened when ordering from Guitarcenter.com. Previously it happened with a Pedaltrain mini case/pedal board. Everything online indicated that it was available ("IN STOCK") Then it turned out to be on back-order, etc... Again, GREAT PRODUCT, but be wary of the service. I would try to find your product elsewhere first, if you can. Often times I'll need quick turnaround for my gear because of my gig schedule, and I can't afford to take the chance with Guitarcenter.com. I also can't afford to keep wasting money on expedited shipping that I don't actually get.

        Great pedal

        By Mark Kircher

        from Key West, FL

Comments about MXR M148 Micro Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

Less knobs is perfect. One knob is all you need to achieve all the different chorus voicings you need. Had an old Boss CH-1 which was a tone vacuum in 'bypass' mode. This pedal has a true bypass and doesn't affect anything when it's off. Sounds great when it's on. Highly recommend it.

        By Alexander Gothics

        from Brownsburg IN

Comments about MXR M148 Micro Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

i found this pedal used at my local guitar store and i have zero regrets. This is my favorite pedal that i own because it gives you a great chorus sound without having to adjust a ton of knobs and switches. If you want a chorus for under 100$ this is the pedal i would recommend.

        Simple but noisey

        By Jake

        from Sandy, UT

Comments about MXR M148 Micro Chorus Guitar Effects Pedal:

Great, simple chorus pedal that can give you a large variety of sounds with a single knob. Solid construction. My only complaint is how noisey it is! I have read others having this complaint too. Not something I could record with but for jamming.
