Great pedal, great sound

By ERIK SYNDER

from Bellingham, WA

Comments about MXR M-134 Stereo Chorus Pedal:

The reason this pedal is more than other chorus pedals is because you get what you pay for....it IS better. The stereo output option is a must, even if you don't have immediate plans to run stereo, it's nice to expand later without having to buy another pedal. The effect is beautiful and shimmering, and the control knobs offer many different settings to suit your needs. The low pass filter is a nice feature even though I don't use it. All in all this pedal is well worth the money for the years of sounds you'll get out of it.

Worth the Cash!

By aaron wood

from Michigan

Comments about MXR M-134 Stereo Chorus Pedal:

I admit, the price is definitely tough to swallow. I'm telling you though, you will not be disappointed. What a terrific pedal. Sure, it needs 18 volts of power but it does come with an adapter. I run this pedal seperate and power the rest of my board with the voodoo power supply. Easy as pie. What a sound! I had originally purchased the MXR Micro Chorus because I wanted to save some cash but I ended up being disappointed with the noise that it was producing. The effect was wonderful, the noise was not. I immediately wanted to eliminate the unwanted noise so I exchanged it for the MXR Stereo Chorus. What a difference. A customizable chorus that is dead silent on my board. Now I have a distict tone that I doubt anyone in my area can match. I can't see myself playing completely clean again. This pedal can beef up your chords and make your solos pierce through the mix. Using the treble and bass controls, you can customize your settings and create a beautiful clean-type tone. With or without overdrive/distortion, this pedal sounds great. If you are a tone freak, look no further. Stop thinking about it and buy it. If you don't mind unwanted noise with a straight chorus and no options for customization, pick up the MXR Micro Chorus. I would definitely buy it again if it tanked.

Best all-around, pro performer

By Johnny Bingo

from Longview, WA

Comments about MXR M-134 Stereo Chorus Pedal:

Bought this chorus about 3 weeks ago because I needed a quiet, pro sound with the ability to access every type of chorus, clean or dirty. This pedal does that extremely well. From 70's thick analog (think Boss CE1), 80's grunge, 90's pop to modern shimmery chorus and everything in between. Very easy to dial in your needed sound. Just can't get a bad sound out of it! It nails the Police, and Rush sounds, just like the Mfg. claims. And, like so many posters have said, works very well with gain or distortion. Comes with the 12 volt power supply (very nice) and a solid, 1 yr. Factory Warranty. This chorus is outta sight, man!

MXR Chorus and Flanger*

By Guitarzan

from Littleton, CO

Comments about MXR M-134 Stereo Chorus Pedal:

Upside: Both units sound great Downside: Both units are at Dunlop as I type this. Very audible click/pop through the audio path when engaging or dis-engaging. I'm a EE and know this is easily remedied. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. Excellent sound quality (good components, circuit design) and customer service.

That FIXX sound

By Oblivion Sun

from Bowie, MD

Comments about MXR M-134 Stereo Chorus Pedal:

Jamie West Oram still uses the original that this pedal is based upon. If this sounds half as good, it's still the best chorus pedal on the planet.

=)

By Ramon

from San Diego California

Comments about MXR M-134 Stereo Chorus Pedal:

This elusive pedal is a tough one to track down but a real treat to play through once you do. We could never understand why this was never a hugely popular pedal because to our ears it?s nothing short of shunning. Our only guess it that it may have something to do with its? inherent knack for subtlety. The chorus isn?t overbearing, yet at the same time it is ultra-rich and very smooth. The liquid-like texture of the MXR Chorus mixes so effortlessly your signal that you don?t even really noticed you?re playing with chorus until you turn it off. It doubles and thickens your sound without applying that digitized sheen that most modern pedals impart on your signal. Stack this next to row of newer chorus pedals and even a few older ones and you?ll pick this one out blindfolded. It?s that good.

The classic and best 70's chorus

By JohnEddyT

from NY

Comments about MXR M-134 Stereo Chorus Pedal:

I own this Dunlop re-issue of the 70's MXR stereo chorus. Run in mono or stereo (I use 2 amps and run stereo) and you get the widest, deepest true sound clean or WITH distortion. It does not wash out your overdriven sound. Fantastic with a compressor to get the early Police sounds (Mesg in a Bottle, Walkin on the Moon). It is built like a tank. Added values over the original;: treble and bass boost, mono only out, AND A LIGHT to see when active! This is THEEE one to get. A little pricey but Dunlop really did a good job recreating the sound. I never play without it.
