The MXR Black Label Chorus is Zakk's secret weapon to thicken up his wall of distortion and add liquid dimension and texture to clean passages. At the heart of the MXR Black Label Chorus is its bucket brigade circuitry—the only way to get truly rich and warm analog chorusing. The MXR Zakk Wylde Chorus pedal's vintage style tones are dialed in by High and Low cut filters and Level, Rate, and Depth controls. For the ultimate in spatial chorusing, hook up 2 amps via the 2 outputs for a wide and sweeping stereo spread. Like all MXR pedals, the Black Label Chorus comes in a heavy-duty housing with durable jacks and switches for a lifetime on the road.
The MXR Zakk Wylde Chorus guitar pedal can be powered by one 9V battery (accessed by removing the effect pedal's bottom plate), a Dunlop DC810DC brick, or MC403 Power system (sold separately).

I was looking for a pedal to capture some old 80?s style rock rhythms, from bands like the Police, Rush, Def Leppard. I started looking at the boutique chorus pedals and had a hard time with the $250 price tag. I dug around for 2 weeks, reading reviews, and found the Zakk Wylde Black Label Chorus pedal. I couldn?t really get a good sound example, and looked all over Houston at different guitar stores but no one had it. I liked the Bucket Brigade chip detail and thought that this might be the best purchase for the money, so I bought it at Musician?s Friend. I didn?t realize what it would do to my sound. It can be almost transparent, but add dimension, thickness, and a musical way of altering the equalization so that the guitar sounds better than it does without it. It can also sound hauntingly wobbly and wretched. I started digging playing old Ozzie and I?m finally feeling like I?m nailing every nuance of the sound that Randy was getting with this chorus pedal. But I can really hear a thick Zakk Wylde sound in this pedal. I was looking for a clean sounding chorus and I?m ending up using this thing all the time on an all out Marshall distortion sound. That?s where it shines. I?ve had it for a few months and I?ve spent a lot of time listening to it, and I?m very happy with it. It?s a smooth chorus and it can get somewhat wobbly. It?s not a pedal for spaced out sounds, but a pedal to add dimension and real chorusing to your sound. This pedal is a steal for the money, smooth, professional and thick chorusing, and very nicely made. It made me purchase an MXR re-issue Phaser because this pedal performed so well.
If your looking for a great sounding chorus pedal at a reasonable price look no further. This is a very warm sounding analog chorus. The high and low cut filters work great for dialing in some great tones. To truely get the most out of this pedal run it in stereo. You will not be disappointed!
Great Chorus, and just like its labeled, you can really get that Zakk Wylde Heavy Liquid Distortion with this pedal.. IMO it kills the Boss's chorus, and it looks great on the pedalboard..Its really easy to tweak your sound, where you can get just a little extra chime, to full blown liquid in your face distortion. It now has a permanent place on my pedalboard
