Go get one now!!!! If you are looking for a bass overdrive go get it now. It's worth every penny, mid shift and blend puts the distortion right where you want it plus the 3 band eq. makes this thing a champ!!!! True hardware bypass, clean when you turn it off, and an extra kick via torch pedal if the straight up hotter than he?# gain is not enough. Don't waste money on multi effects processors that do a little of everything halfway. Get the pedal made for that effect. I will not look at another bass O.D. ever!
I got this as a christmas gift for my first distortion pedal, and i gotta say this thing blew my mind! i got a great sound running my fender precision through it and cranking it. it get kinda loud though with the volume and gain turned up too far, and might mess with the sound, but its fine if you either turn the box or your amp down. the torch button was really a great idea, but for me, if i turned the gain up all the way then hit the torch, it let loose with a sound that earned it the moniker "the fart button". all in all, a great pedal, its right beside my wah, and its a staple on my board
I bought this little monster in December for Christmas, and have had countless practices and two shows with it. The pedal really brings my bass sound out to the front. I love it! It has alot of tone-shaping control with the mid-range switch & the 3-band EQ. After playing around with these, you can have just the right bass and treble in your distortion. And then the blend and gain knobs can give you wide range of sounds - a subtle overdrive, a deep growl, or a gnarly high-gain distortion. And then with one push of the Torch switch on the side and you can add some chainsaw heaviness to your custom-made distortion. It's an MXR, so you know you will get high-quality electronics in an indestructable casing. It's a great ditortion pedal made for bass, and delivers much more tone and power than the Boss bass overdrive. If you are looking for something that will bring your bass out to the front, this is what you are looking for.
