Guitarists of all styles, from Hendrix devotees to garage rockers and stoner-metal fanatics, will dig the familiar late-Sixties/early-Seventies crunch delivered by the MXR M-173 Classic 108 Fuzz. Dunlop has taken the guts of the BC-108 loaded Fuzz Face, placed them in a more pedalboard-friendly shape, and added the modern conveniences of a battery door, optional AC operation, and true bypass with LED. The M-173 pedal's Buffer switch eliminates the audible oscillation caused when some wah-wahs are placed in front of a Fuzz Face. The Classic 108 Fuzz Pedal comes in a heavy-duty Phase 100-sized box with a sweet hammer-tone turquoise finish.

  • FUZZ!

    I tried quite a few fuzzes and I couldn't get no satisfaction, but this one has that really 60's harsh kind of fuzz I was looking for. There is some confusion between fuzzes and distortions, and you could use this unit either way. I have distortion pedals and tube amps, too, so I use a fuzz for FUZZ! Not too complicated, with only two knobs. I turn the Fuzz up all the way and use the volume to match my bypass level so I can switch it in and out seamlessly.

    wow, this pedal is cool... its great for those jimi hendrix jams, or ripping a fat, bloated riff, totally cool, however, i play through a marshall tube with a ton of gain, at first i thought it was a waste considering i can get a similar fuzz sound with my amp distortion, then i played with it, and listened, the fuzz can fatten it up... its a good pedal to have, but not an absoulute must, your better off buying a wah before this... but when your ready, get this sucker.

    It's a great and extraordinary vintage fuzz pedal. Warm, fat and full of color. It's a very quiet unit regarding the quantiy of drive that iI use. Just try.
