Completely reshape your sound or boost a wicked alternate lead tone that will jump out of the mix at will. The MXR EQ offers 6 bands covering all the essential guitar and bass frequencies, with each slider ready to deliver 18 dB's of cut or boost. Ideal for creating scooped mids or massive lows you never thought you could produce. It will also add natural-sounding warmth to a quacky acoustic pickup and instantly eliminate onstage feedback or boost your overall signal when using a massive chain of floor effects. Redesigns include a rugged bypass switch and "positive feel" illuminated sliders.

  • One diverse little pedal

    This is a good little EQ pedal that does exactly what you would expect it to. After spending 15 minutes or so getting a feel for the pedal combined with your guitar you'll get so used to it that when it's off you'll wonder what's wrong with your guitar. I put the EQ with a scooped-mids setting and it cleans up the mayhem of my Little Big Muff so much so that I don't use it anymore without this little black box. If you're deciding between the 6-band and 10-band I would go ahead and get this unless you have really specific needs for the 10 band. This can be used simply as a boost, at texture to an acoustic or simply perfect a pedal you already like. Can be a little noisy though so be wary. Overall a great pedal, wouldn't play without it.

  • All the control you'll need

    I've had this for a few months now. Being an MXR, it's probably gonna last me a life time. I can see it all throughout the construction, that this pedal is built very well. Tone wise, it will do almost anything you need. I have an electric guitar and a bass, and it works fine, getting the tone I want for either. my only small complaint is that when you boost frequencies your volume increases along with hum, and when you cut frequencies it lowers your volume. I guess that can also be a plus if maybe want more volume for a solo or something. My point is that this a great pedal for any player of any genre to have. Try It.

  • Great Eq. Small footprint, Heavy duty

    Bought this over the MXR 10 band eq and the Danelectro Fish and Chips (dont laugh it actually works great!). I use this with my tiny terror since it doesn't have an eq. I have it set in a "smiley" face grin which boost the highs and lows on my Tiny Terror to make it sound big and fatter. Has all the eq bands you need. I only wish it had a volume cut/boost like the 10 band/fish and chips. Small box which can fit anywhere on the board. Great tone shaping tool.
