  • simple pedal

As reviewed by Jeremy on 8/1/2008

I have the Fulltone Full-Drive 2 MOSFET overdrive pedal, which has a lead boost feature. I bought this pedal for when I want a clean boost or a lead boost with none of the added overdrive gain of the FD-2. A simple pedal with only one application, but it does what it does well - and it has a cool blue LED that's visible on the darkest stage.

  • Good Gear

As reviewed by Brian Cornay on 8/19/2009

This boost pedal is a high quality piece of gear. The build quality is rugged and precise. The pedal does as advertised. It boosts cleanly and without color. I use it to boost the signal from my Digitiech RP 500, which has less output than bypass mode. My 1976 Marshall JMP is very sensitive to input strength, both weak and strong, so this pedal pedal restored the spank I was expecting from the amp. Buy it. You wont be dissapointed.

  • Brilliant

As reviewed by Seanshine on 1/31/2011

When I write a review I try to provide a range of perspective for potential buyers by comparing pedals in hopes of relieving anxiety when making a decision. Something I wish I saw more of. For example, my main question about this pedal was.. "what exactly is the difference between the MC-401 and the MXR micro amp?"... so I had to buy them both to figure it out for myself. It's a simple pedal so this should be easy. The Micro amp is great, I love it... but this one is simply better. It's louder, brighter and has a much more clarity. It definitely met my expectations. So if you're a sound geek like me and want to know whether the extra $$ is worth it or not.. the answer is yes. Buy it.
