Overview

Vintage Condenser Mic
Technology that works
The MXL-V69 offers a truly unique body style with a proven concept in FET circuitry design and a newly engineered 1.25" capsule. Through extensive testing in studio environments, it was found that a 5 micron density for the diaphragm provided the best overall frequency and transient response. The sound of the V69 is as unique as its styling and lends itself particularly well to lead vocal work. It has a punchy, rich tonal quality which makes it a prime choice for capturing that perfect take.
The MXL V69 is a classic large diaphragm Tube Microphone. Its classic sound enhances vocal and instrument performances. The extremely low noise level, wide dynamic range and warm sonic characteristics make the V69 a perfect complement to all digital recording devices. Comes with deluxe case, shock mount, power supply, (2) cables and windscreen.

A diamond in the rough

By Tommy Smith

from Bakersfield, CA

I purchased this mic, used from the Bakersfield store about 9 months ago, and have gotten nothing but excellent results! This mic has a very rich, warm sound and just enough air to make both acoustic guitars and close vocals sparkle. The tube inside the mic realistically needs about 15-20 minutes to warm up and saturate. Once heat soaked, this mic sings! Only real downfall is the shock mount,it is a a bit weak. As this mic is somewhat heavy, I recommend using the MXL USM-001 shock mount. It is a great quality mic, and thus, needs proper and secure support. MXL products have earned a spot in my heart and my mic closet. Don't stop here, MXL makes awesome mics, and a large variety of them, as well. Anything you need to mic in the studio, chances are, MXL has you covred!
