Quality for price

By RyanJ

In terms of price point, this can't really be beat, the V63M allows home studios on tight budgets to reach competitive levels of quality with that of professional studios. This microphone is quiet, dynamic, and has a very fast transient response. Great for drum overheads, acoustic guitars, or even vocals...

SOmetimes You Get More Than What You Pay For

By Magoo59

If you thought you could never get a decent large diaphragm low-noise condensor mic, I suggest you give this one a try. I was always a mic snob until I tried this one on a lark. How can a mic this cheap be any good? To be honest with you, I don't know. All I can say is that I am totally pleased with this one. This mic is very transparent. It doesn't add any color to the sound. What goes in is what comes out. The mic is quiet. I'm guessing this is due to sound design and the use of Mogami internal wiring. I'm not rough on mics but after a couple of small mishaps, this mic proved to be pretty durable too. Some might want to use a tube style mic preamp to add a little warmth. I've used it both ways and have been happy with the results either way. I have used it on vocals, instruments and amps in my project studio. It's wide frequency range and high SPL's have given me very good results all the way around. If you don't have a ton of money to buy the other large diaphragm condensors that can run 100's of dollars, check out the V63M. You might not have to look any further.
