Excellent mic for a tight budget

I have a set of MXL 992, they are colorful as most of the reviews say. I can get a nice high ring in the resonance, which I like. Right now I tried using a ribbon mic set for slightly more accurate sound reproduction but I ended up liking the MXL 992 better. The ribbon mic I used just did not sound as pretty especially in the high frequency areas. I doubt a many people hear are recording a concert grand harp but if you are you should consider a MXL 992.

MXL 992

What can I say, for anyone looking for a well-rounded Mic to add to your recording - this is it. It competes well with any variety of Microphones in this price range and beats most others in direct competition. I would definitely buy/use this Microphone again if lost or (GTod forbid!) stolen...
