Features: Two black chrome studio condensers - one large diaphragm condenser for vocals and one small diaphragm condenser for instruments; flight case; two shock mounts; two leatherette pouches; a polishing cloth; two wind screens; and handling gloves. The large diaphragm mic has a high pass filter and a -10dB pad.
Quality & Reliability: I've had these microphones for 5 days and have recorded vocals and acoustic guitar so far. The two microphones seem well built but I'd either cover them up or keep them in their case to keep dust from getting in through their grills.
Look & Feel: I must say that the look and feel are excellent. The mirror-like black chrome finish is very glossy and gives them a slick and unique look. A possible drawback is that they are highly prone to smudges/fingerprints (which I imagine is why they come with handling gloves). Both mics have a somewhat hefty feel; not overly heavy and not cheap feeling either.
Most importantly though is the sound. The C-24 (the large diaphragm mic) has what I'd call a warm, thick, vintage sound with a smooth and silky upper-frequency response. And that's exactly why I was interested in this mic - it doesn't have the overly bright, sibilant, or harsh top end as do many lower cost mics in this price range. It delivers a more natural reproduction of the human voice but adds a silkiness that you tend to hear on major label recordings. I would recommend using the high pass filter if you're singing any closer to the mic than 12 or 14 inches unless you want an extra bassy vocal.
On the acoustic guitar, the C-24p (the small diaphragm mic) has what I'd describe as a crisp/sparkly top end and seems somewhat subdued in the lower frequency range. But this works well with my acoustic guitar (Martin DM), since I tend to EQ it to sound that way anyway.
The shock mounts seem to be well made, although, with the seemingly hi tension of the elastic suspension, I wonder how much isolation they really offer. But, they seem well made none the less.
The flight case may not be the most sturdy, but it's not terrible and if you take good care of it, it should last and you'll probably appreciate it a lot more than a cardboard box and some styrofoam.
The rest of the included accessories - cleaning cloth, windscreens and handling gloves... - may not be deal makers, but are nice extras.
Although I can't speak for the longevity of these mics since I've only owned them for less than a week, It seems to be a fantastic package deal for the price. Not only do you get two studio-grade mics that sound MUCH more expensive than they are, but with the halfway decent flight case and the shock mounts, etc. I would call the C-24 package a heck of a bargain!
I just bought this package deal at the local GC and I must say that I am very pleased! I recorded lead and backup vocal tracks on a couple of our band's songs dry (no effects, besides a little compression) and the results were just amazing. Now granted, I had been using a Sure SM58 stage mic for recording so a studio mic will always have better sonic presense and range, but this was definitely better than I expected. All of us were just amazed at the clarity. Subtle dynamics in the voices rang through and the frequency response was great!

i bought this mic after my previous one broke and was a little skeptical to believe it would sound good for a microphone but upon receiving it, which by the way the presentation alone is amazing, it comes in a aluminum case with 2 mics, 2 shockmounts, gloves, specialty cloth, 2 smaller leather pouches to put mics in, 2 windscreens, and 2 keys to lock the case up when you store it away, anyhow upon hooking it up and running it thru protools 8 thru an m-audio mbox2 ive got some of the crispiest vocals ive heard come out of a home studio and look forward to much music with this mic. click the link to download my mixtape which was recorded with this mic and hear its quality.
