  • Decent Mic

As reviewed by James Mossak on 6/7/2010

I purchased this mic not knowing what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. This mic works really great on acoustic strings: acoustic guitar, violin, cello and I've even recorded a 30 piece string orchestra with good results with this mic. It's a good value for the price.

  • Cheap, and very modable

As reviewed by Tim on 5/20/2010

Look. MXL isn't the best company. But this mic is cheap, and its based on the '84 style capsule. So pic one up and look around on the net for some mods. There are some cheap component mods which greatly improve the quality for cheap.

  • Nice Condensor Mic

As reviewed by Chris on 6/7/2010

This is a nice condensor mic. I use it mainly for recording vocals. I have had it for over a year now. No issues. Mine came in a pack with the pencil mic too. Nice little case as well.
