  • Great recording, but what about a shock mount?

    I love using it. Great warmth, amazing pickup, and I love using it for my vocal projects. Only problem is, I couldn't find a shockmount to fit it! So i bought the MXL USM-001 and fitted it with some rubber placements. still, the mic is worth the money.

  • An excellent acoustic instrument mic

    MXL 990 tube I have a MXL 960 tube mic and it is excellent, they are clear and transparent. I can get a nice high ring in the resonance. I ended up liking using the MXL 990 tube mic for recording my wife?s concert grand harp and it did an excellent job. I doubt that many people hear are recording a concert grand harp but if you are you should consider a MXL 992. I also found that the 990 was excellent on acoustic guitars and violins. This is a great mic for acoustic instruments.The mic is built well and the case is very sturdy in case you need to transport it to other places.

  • Hidden Master piece!!

    There are no words to describe the amazing satisfaction that this mic brings in performance, I had the opportunity to use this mic in several opportunities, as a Music Producer in the music industry you have to have the right tools to provide and have, succes not only for your self but for the Artist that you are working with, this mic has done that for me. I had use countles all kinds of brands over the years and this mic is if not the best probably is in the top 3, not only it has a unbelieveble! sound (very nice mids, lows to die for, crisp highs & last but most definitelly not least the amazing warm feel of a tube. Don't look any further if you are looking to have award winning vocals this is the mic you are looking for! Thanks Marshall!!!
