The Best Instrument At This Price Point

Comments about MTD Kingston KZ Fretless Bass:

This bass is a revelation. The only maple neck 4 string I own. The assymetrical neck is fast and comfortable (you can easily play all night with this instrument). Setup is good and the Feiten tuning system (different pitch on the truss rod thread) makes intonation and relief easy. Quiet pickups with a well defined articulation. Not as buttery as Bartolinis, but with a distinctive, clear, musical voice. Hands down the finest built Korean built import, and a fine follow-on to earlier Korean Tobiases. Flawless fit and finish. My personal KZ is fretted, but I have also played the fretless model.
