  • Best I remember playing

As reviewed by Mr. 11 on 2/23/2010

Fabulous Bass!! I tried a lot of basses and this one has all I was looking for. The tone has powerful mids that complement highs for a great edgy tone, or make the lows so solid when I boost the low. The 3 way active electronics give all usable, great tones. The 35 inch scale really adds to the tonal clarity. The low B string has good tonal pitch - not muddy. The wide neck seems to make it easier to play cleanly. Only bass I've had that had good sounding strings from the factory - I have a high end set that I haven't put on! The single and double coil PUs give even more great tone shaping control. This is the best sounding bass I ever played. This is my first review, too - I just had to write one after getting this instrument.

  • wow this bass is one of the best bass out ther for the money

As reviewed by DEANDRE on 1/28/2010

I have been playing bass over 25 years and i have played and owned fenders, warwicks and concklin basses but the mtd heir is one of the best sounding all in one basses ive owned. The warm tones of the jazz pickup and the funky mids and bottoms that makes this bass talk WITH pure excitement. This bass is price modest and is a steal for all that it has to offer. buy this bass i did

  • mmmmarvelous bass!

As reviewed by mike young on 2/11/2009

MAN I could not believe the feel and how easy it was to play. Very fast action against the strings. It has a great sound. The neck was a little wider than I am used to. Being a female bass player, I need a smaller neck for my hands. It also helped my fingering.I stretch my fingers for positioning sometimes. This BASS is the one to get if you like the funky souund of poping and thumping. Love it, love it, love it. I'm hooked.
