With the Easy Guitar Tricks DVD from MJS, you can learn to use the highly guarded techniques of the guitar pros and make each and every note count. Playing a note, or even a handful of notes is one thing, but learning to give each note life while making them sound tight and professional is an important task to master. Using simple techniques that have taught thousands of eager students over the past eighteen years, expert guitar instructor Mark John Sternal teaches you how to play fun, useful guitar tricks quickly and easily. You'll be amazed at how, after learning a few basic guitar tricks and techniques, you'll never be at a loss when it comes to guitar playing whether you're writing your own songs, playing cover tunes, or improvising.

5 Easy Levels: Beginner to Advanced:
The guitar lessons on the Easy Guitar Tricks DVD are cleverly designed with extremely simple exercises starting with open strings and one-finger tricks that are very beginner-friendly. At the end of Level 1, these easy tricks are combined into a song format that can be played first at a slow speed, then gradually increased for mastery.

While Level 1 is designed for absolute beginners, each new section gives you more tutorials with tricks and techniques. When you're ready for the Advanced Level 5 section, you'll be using both hands on the fretboard. Each section includes a song that combines all of the skills you've learned, allowing you to use your playing techniques in a musical format.

Great Beginner's Buy

By Josh

from TX

This DVD is great for people that are beginning and wanting to improve drastically. It tells you the different techniques used to get different sounds. It starts off slow for inexperienced people, and the difficulty increases as you go for the folks that know a little more than average. The only thing I might add to it, would be a recommendation of warmup excercises to help get loose.

Could be Better

By Charles

from Clarksburg, MD

First off Mark John Sternal is a very good instructor and does teach in a real basic way and uses as very simple style of playing. I donۡt feel the material in this DVD is worth the $8.00 I paid unlike the Easy Metal Guitar DVD, but on that note it would have been a better buy to have had the material on the Easy Guitar tricks DVD included with or on the Easy Metal Guitar DVD. Also what is lacking on both DVDۡs is a downloadable PDF file of the riffs. In order to practice the riffs over and over you have to watch the DVDۡs over and over. The one really good thing I like about both DVD's is how you can work through the material at a slow, medium and fast pace. I was also hoping to learn how to do a unison bend as I seem to have a hard time with that, but he did not demonstrate that. I did like the taping material. So I give the DVD 3 stars.
