One-in, 2-out MIDI data router/filter allows selected MIDI messages to be routed to either, both, or neither of its 2 outputs. It can route/filter selected ranges of most MIDI data types, and messages can also be rechannelized to any other MIDI channel. A total of 10 settings are stored in a priority format and it is programmed by sending MIDI System Exclusive messages via Processors Programming Tools software. Settings are retained even after power is removed. The router is MIDI-powered with MIDI indicator LED. 4.0 oz. 4-1/2"W x 2-1/2"H x 1-1/4"D.

    I used the midi router to convert 6 midi channels from my guitar to just one. This allows me to use the 6 channels of midi for modern synths and use the router to convert the 6 down to 1 channel and trigger older monosynths with cv converters that only accept 1 midi channel at a time. I expected the occasional lock up and maybe a bit of delay, but the router works great. It will perform 10 functions at once and I'm only using 5 (converting channels 2-6 to channel 1). It will route lots of info, not just channel info. You can also filter out unused stuff to increase speed. A great product that will fix many compatability issues. Highly recommended!
