The MI Audio Blues Pro Overdrive Guitar Pedal's no-nonsense circuitry offers effects that are very 'immediate'. There are no internal trimmers, so that with the Blues Pro you get a very easy-to-use pedal, with the classic configuration of Gain, Tone and Volume. The MI Audio Blues Pro is a bit compressed, which gives the pedal a bit of extra punch. Blues Pro is an overdrive that also sounds throaty in high gain settings.
In the Fuzz mode the tone control becomes more of a 'sponge' control. With the tone all the way up, the Blues Pro pedal sounds like a louder version of the original. As you turn the Tone control down, the response time of the Blues Pro increases. This sounds particularly cool on chords. Turn the MI Audio Blues Pro Overdrive effect's Tone control all the way down, and the tone takes a second or two to settle.

I absolutely love this pedal! it has the most natural, tube like overdrive thats sings sweetly with a lot of sustain. the amount of gain you dial in changes the character of this dirt box, and it has a very wide array of tones. if you are looking for a medium gain pedal as a first overdrive or an alternative to a tubescreamer, get this! it sounds better than any other overdrive, and you can't beat this price for a pedal that sounds great, is durable, and is hand crafted. This pedal is a work of art, one of the best purchases I've made in a long time, works great with any amp or stompbox, and is great for dialing in some Hendrix, Zeppelin and SRV tones. It reacts uniquely to different pickups. Whoever is still looking for an overdrive, get this pedal!
Great overdrive. At this point I compare most OD pedals to the TS-9 and this one stacks up nicely. First it doesn't cut off as much of the low end and doesn't have as extreme of a mid-hump. To me this means more chord clarity and note definition. It has a good amount of gain and is very tunable to the sounds in my head. If you want to add even more "cut" to it flip the fuzz switch on. I have owned many OD's including boutique and modded as well as mass manufacture pedals and this is a keeper. For the price it is hard to beat.
I got this pedal in a trade thinking I would just resell it, however, after playing through it just once, I just had to keep it. Why? Compared to all the ODs I've ever played (Tim, OCD, Menatone Red Snapper, Jekyll & Hyde, Barber Direct Drive, CTO v1, TC Nova Drive), this pedal is the single most versatile. It can go from amazing low gain like the Tim, making it sound like your at your amps breakup point. Or all the way to the high gains of the OCD. Yet, it both aspects it sounds better than the respective pedals I compared it too. On top of that, it's cheaper! Oh and the fuzz switch definitely adds some additional distortion that can help you get dirtier sounds.
Compared this with a KEELEY mod BD-2 a couple days back. Wonderful tone. Absolutely wonderful. Test included a 6 ft George L's cable from my LP Studio to the BD-2, and Blues Pro in a completely true bypass switcher then a 2nd 6 ft cable to the Fender Twin Tweed. Played the amp in a few different settings. The Boss had no chance. Again...this thing is awesome! The modes with the switch really change the dynamic response of the pedal, though neither modes lack the organic, lively quality this pedal brings into your signal. Do yourself a favor and try one soon!!
