Overview

M-Audio StudioPro 3 active desktop monitors offer powerful amplification, custom-tuned cabinets, optimized speaker design, and advanced crossover technology for the best possible sound. Magnetic shielding prevents StudioPro 3 audio monitors from interfering with your computer or video speakers.

Stereo Auxiliary Input and Headphone Output
In addition to the main RCA inputs in the back, for maximum flexibility the StudioPro 3 monitors' stereo aux input makes it easy to plug in a secondary audio source”such as your portable music player. The speakers' volume control works on both inputs simultaneously. Additionally, a stereo headphone output next to the aux jack mutes the speakers' sound and redirects it to your headphones.

Natural Bass
The M-Audio custom bass reflex port discharges very low-frequency signals and delivers smooth, substantial bass response. Need more? The rear-panel bass boost gives you additional low-frequency gain and makes the StudioPro 3 monitors flexible enough to perform well for different spaces and listening preferences.

Monitor Pads
High-frequency audio signals tend to be fairly directional. That's why M-Audio includes wedge-shaped monitor pads that assist you in placing your M-Audio StudioPro 3 units directly at your ears for an optimal listening sweet spot.

Speaker Enclosure
M-Audio StudioPro 3 speakers provide a more stable performance with a special medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and unique interior reinforcement that absorbs vibration and impact generated under extreme conditions. Carefully placed acoustic material makes StudioPro 3 monitor's sound much bigger than they are”resulting in smooth, natural bass response.

M-Audio includes a pair of angled isolation pads with each set of StudioPro 3 desktop audio monitors.

If you live in an apartment and are on a budget like me these are the monitors for you. I use these puppies for my DJ mixes when I practice and/or record for my podcasts. These get the job done!

Comments about M-Audio StudioPro 3 Desktop Audio Monitors:

I can't recall when I bought this speaker. That's for how long I have had the speakers. For my purpose they very okay even though they are lacking the lower frequency umph. This speaker are connected via E-Mu 0404USB then to computer. Have used both firewire and midi setups with the speakers. Can't complain. For being such small speakers they have good weight to them. Solid built. Noticed the bass can be little improved depending distance to wall.

Disappointing from the get-go.

Comments about M-Audio StudioPro 3 Desktop Audio Monitors:

When my Studiophile AV20's quit working (After 18 months, 9 of which they spent stored indoors in their original box) I opted to give M Audio another chance since the AV20's did at least sound great. If the smaller units sounded so goo, then these larger speakers should sound better, especially being "PRO" grade. They don't. Even at relatively low to medium volume. the highs are thin, tinny, and prone to breaking up into fuzz. Mid-ranges are blaring and equally distortion-prone. The low end likewise distorts when the bass boost is activated. I have not been able to try them out at any higher volume as they break-up before they are at half-power, no matter which one of about six different sound sources I have tried them with. Sadly, they will probably just go back into the box and I'll have learned a hunderd dollar lesson.

Comments about M-Audio StudioPro 3 Desktop Audio Monitors:

Great job M audio, these little buggers are loud and accurate! They may seem small but the sounds they make is another story. I use these as a monitoring system for my home recording studio and they are really accurate. I also use them with my computer when listening to music..they are LOUD!!!!!!! BUY THESE if you're on a budget especially...awesome value. If you're not, go for something even bigger and more accurate, these are just a fraction of what you could have.

Sometimes bigger isn't always better

Comments about M-Audio StudioPro 3 Desktop Audio Monitors:

I was in a situation of taste and I needed a good compromise, I need good monitors with a nice switchable low end boost without the big space requirement. These came out to be the best pick for my problems. IT also has a front aux headphone jack and is magnetically shielded. Great deal and value is behind my rank.

2 Pro Studio 4 U

Comments about M-Audio StudioPro 3 Desktop Audio Monitors:

I hooked these babies up to my Dell computer, changed the speaker option on my computers control panel for sound and it has enhanced the sound overall of my MP3 and music downloads as if I were listen through a huge stero system. If you buy the speakers you surely won't be let down and if you don't get any sound right away switch the current switch while powered this kicks in the speakers to be active.

Don't let it's size fool you

By Phil See

Comments about M-Audio StudioPro 3 Desktop Audio Monitors:

I have a home studio in one of our rooms. Not a PC-based but a component-based studio with: a Korg D3200 32-Track Recording studio, Roland V-Session series V-Drum kit, and a rack-mount Marshall JMP1 Tube MIDI Preamp amongst other gear. With all of that gear?s capability to accommodate a full range of sound, I needed an efficient studio monitor to compliment my D3200 for recording and mix down. Since my studio is in my house, I needed a monitor that didn?t take much room at all and one that was still efficient enough to where I wouldn?t have to crank it to hear the full range of sound. The M-Audio StudioPro 3 turned out to be just what I needed and it was at a very affordable price. The StudioPro 3 is the low end of M-Audio?s line of monitors but with StudioPro 3?s 3 1/4" woofers; 1" tweeters and 100Hz-20kHz frequency response in tuned and ported enclosures, it commands respect from an audio engineer/musician just the same. It comes with an RCA to 1/4 stereo mini plug for hooking up to your PC?s audio board (Killer PC Speaks) or you can buy a separate audio cable and a couple of RCA to 1/4 inch adapters and use it to monitor the Korg D3200 or anything with 1/4 monitor jacks. It has a bass boost switch on the back for some impressive thumping and a lighted ON/OFF/Volume knob and stereo mini Phone and AUX plugs on the front. Also included are wedge-type speaker stands that allow you to either angle the enclosures up or down depending on where you put them. There are even self-adhering nonskid pads for putting underneath the stands and speakers to keep them from sliding around on smooth surfaces. This is a sweet little studio monitor system but you?ve simply got to hear the M-Audio StudioPro 3 for yourself to appreciate the big and amazing sound quality it delivers.
