Using manufacturing breakthroughs pioneered in M-Audio's popular Luna and Solaris, the new Nova cardioid condenser microphone redefines the entry-level price point for quality studio condenser microphones. The 1-1/10" evaporated gold diaphragm mounted in a solid brass capsule ensures recordings that are faithful to the source, and the Class A solid state electronics are engineered for low noise, distortion and coloration. The Nova microphone package includes mic cable, hardmount and soft case.
The Nova requires phantom power.

I just purchased a studio for my home, and purchased the mic, because of a low budget, but WOW!!!! I have compared it to the mics used in the studios I've worked in, and it gives them a run for there money, but spending a bunch less. My artist, friends and engineers couldn't tell that I recorded it on this mic. You will definately get a Bang For Your Buck with the Nova!!
I bought this mic for voice overs. I figured it would be a good starter mic. This is much more then a starter mic. For so many years, I used this mic for sessions, high level auditions, everything. Even national spots. I like this mic better then the Rhode NT1A. It's quieter. I now own several other expensive mics, but I'll still use this one for certain situations. It's great! More then worth the money.
This is a great all purpose microphone, suitable for most applications. I have recorded guitar and voice with it and it handled very nicely. Clear highs, reasonably accurate midrange and decent lows. It doesn't have the best features, but for $100 you're getting a pretty good deal.
I am impressed with the quality of the mic for its price. I use this mic a lot for vocals in my home studio. Be advised that you need phantom power for this condenser mic (no battery input). If you have a powered mixer or USB + XLR computer interface, you should be fine.
This mic is very good I got it in a protools bundle it works very well it catches everything makes vocals sound warm and clear
Not the best mic in the world, but I must say for the price.....Not Bad at All :) As I have learned....There is no good or bad mic. It all depends on how and what u use them for. This is def great for vocals, but also awesome for miking instruments, cabs, and surprisingly even as an over head.
