M-Audio Fast Track MKII USB Audio Interface

Featuring a simple plug-and-play USB connection, Fast Track MKII is an easy way to record guitar, vocals, and more with your PC or Mac. Simply plug in your instruments and you're ready to rock. Fast Track even offers phantom power so you can use professional-quality studio condenser microphones like the M-Audio Nova. Fast Track recording interface is compatible with most popular music recording applications from GarageBand to studio-standard Pro Tools M-Powered (8 and higher), and includes Pro Tools M-Powered Essential easy-to-use recording and effects software so you can start making music immediately. Now the world of Pro Tools is more accessible than ever.
M-Audio StudioPro 3 Desktop Audio Monitors
M-Audio StudioPro 3 active monitors feature powerful amplification, custom-tuned cabinets, optimized speaker design, and advanced crossover technology for the best possible sound. Magnetic shielding prevents these desktop audio monitors from interfering with your computer or video monitor.
Stereo Auxiliary Input and Headphone Output
For maximum flexibility, a stereo aux input allows you to plug in a secondary audio source (such as your portable music player) in addition to the main RCA inputs in the back. The volume control works on both inputs simultaneously. Additionally, there is a stereo headphone output next to the aux jack that mutes the sound coming out of the speakers and redirects it to your headphones.
The custom bass reflex port design discharges very low-frequency signals and delivers a smooth, substantial bass response. Need more? The rear-panel bass boost gives you additional low-frequency gain and makes the monitor speakers versatile for different spaces and listening preferences.
Monitor PadsHigh-frequency audio signals tend to be fairly directional. That's why wedge-shaped monitor pads are included to help point your M-Audio StudioPro 3s directly at your ears for an optimal listening sweet spot.
The M-Audio StudioPro 3 speakers provide a more stable performance with a special medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and unique interior reinforcement designed to absorb vibration and impacts generated under extreme conditions. Includes carefully placed acoustic material that makes the StudioPro 3 monitor speaker's sound much bigger than they are - resulting in a smooth, natural bass response.
M-Audio includes a pair of angled isolation stands.
MXL V63M Condenser Studio Microphone

This isn't some crazy-awesome recording package, but it doesn't suck either. The mic is good, and if you're only planning to record on thing at a time (like guitar) it's a good starting package (whereas for drums you want many audio inputs on the audio interface). I mainly bought this because I had NO recording equipment. I will say, for recording acoustic stuff, the sound quality is excellent and crisp. The sound quality for distortion is also good, and I like to crank up the gain, so I'd know. Now on to the monitors -___- They're . . . okay. Nothing special. I didn't really buy this for the monitors, so I don't mind. My problem with them is that the input jack is kind of screwed up, so you have to have your cables facing a certain way (although the window for the direction is big so it isn't a HUGE problem). I'm giving this 4 stars for the sound quality of the mic.
the m audio box is perfect but you will need a adapter for your headphones too fit, the speakers are SOOO cheap, they sound good at first but then they break, had mine only 3 hours and they broke and i wasn't playing them high. the Mic is good for the price for the package, more like a podcast Mic more than a studio Mic tho. the stand works fine and so does all the cables.
