It does exactly what you want it to.

Comments about M-Audio Delta 1010 PCI Digital Audio System:

I upgraded from the delta 44. Just felt like I should actually utilize the 6 or so open channels on my mixer - so I went for it. The 1010pci seemed like the cheapest way to get 10 more outs (well, 8 actually for me since I have yet to use the spdif ports because I always forget about them because they are not on the breakout box, but rather they are on the pci card itself) Anyway...the sound quality is great, the setup was a breeze, and the breakout box is sleek-looking and they even give you another midi in and out as a bonus. Can always use more of those! Don't care for the software interface though. Not for any single reason - just personal taste I think. Go for it! it is by far the best in its pricerange as far as number of stereo ins and outs. Would definitely recommend.

By T-rex

Comments about M-Audio Delta 1010 PCI Digital Audio System:

The Delta 1010 is extremely clear and rugged. I have used it for years and I have not had 1 issue with it. It has performed like a champ through many, many, many recordings. I wish I could say that about all of my equipment, but I can't.

Rock Solid

Comments about M-Audio Delta 1010 PCI Digital Audio System:

I upgraded from a delta 44 to a Tascam USB Audio card. The Tascam was nothing but problems. I sold it and bought the Delta 1010 set up and haven't had a single issue with it. The thing is rock solid. Easy to setup and install. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with M-Audio.

Best sound for your money

By Pedro Bossio

from Glendale, California

Comments about M-Audio Delta 1010 PCI Digital Audio System:

The sound quality is pristine when used with high-end audio cables such as Mogami or Monster. I've used two Deltas for six years and have done hundreds of productions with great results. The one thing I've felt that M-Audio can improve on is in simplifying the driver set-up. It's very complex and dreadful to re-install. Workable instructions to configure delta drivers are available on forums on the web, not in their manuals.

Great PCI recording interface

By AlexanderK / Descent Into Madness

from Houston

Comments about M-Audio Delta 1010 PCI Digital Audio System:

The Delta 1010 is great for those that still have computers with PCI support. I've used the card to record two demos with my old band and it worked great. One thing to be aware is that on this card you don't have microphone outputs so you'd need a mixer with inserts that you can use to connect to the Delta 1010s inputs. This card has very flexible input/output capabilities, very flexible software mixer and great sounding analog to digital converters. It was easy to setup and work with, M-Audio support was also very forthcoming for product updates.

Best sounding recording module!

By jacqueslilavois

from Duarte, CA

Comments about M-Audio Delta 1010 PCI Digital Audio System:

I record using the M Audio Delta 1010 and my computer and get studio quality results. Keep in mind, this is only a recording interface. If you're looking for an all-in-one unit with mic preamps and instrument inputs, go with something like the FirePod. I prefer the Delta 1010 because it gives the flexibilty to use my own preamps, which means less components in the signal chain, which means less noise and better sounding recordings. Also, this is 24bit, 96k. The highest resolution you can get. If you're serious about recording, get the Delta 1010.
