Product Information

Proven technology used by leading sound engineers.

The compact Studiophile AV 40 powered reference monitors deliver the same proven M-Audio technology favored by top producers, recording engineers and musicians around the world. The combination of 4" polypropylene-coated drivers and 3/4" ferrofluid-cooled silk dome tweeters provides punchy lows, crisp highs and a balanced, uncolored response. Custom cabinets with dense wood construction deliver more accurate bass response than you could ever get from plastic multimedia speakers. And for the highest possible fidelity, the Studiophile AV 40 monitors also feature OptImage III wave-guide technology and a 20 watt-per-channel internal amplifier that utilizes Class A/B architecture. The Studiophile AV 40 monitor speakers are the perfect solution for traveling musicians or anyone who wants top-notch sound from their desktop multimedia system.

Professional Components—Professional Results

The Studiophile AV 40 monitors are designed with the same quality materials and internal electronics that are used in all of M-Audio's acclaimed professional monitors. You'll find features like audiophile-grade Class A/B amplifier architecture and balanced 1/4" TRS inputs in addition to RCAs. It all adds up to a big sound that belies the speakers' small size. With the Studiophile AV 40s, you don't have to give up professional-grade fidelity to enjoy the ease and mobility of a compact monitoring system.

Extended Low End

If you require extra bass response, the M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 monitors have you covered. MDF wooden cabinets, bass reflex design and an integrated bass boost switch let the Studiophile AV 40s crank out plenty of low end—perfect for urban/dance music, DVDs and more.

OptImage III Technology

M-Audio's proprietary OptImage III wave guide improves overall detail and clarity while minimizing sound issues that can plague other compact monitors. The system works by improving the overall efficiency of the tweeter as well as time-aligning the drivers. This ensures that the audio from each driver reaches the listener at the same time, guaranteeing precise stereo imaging and accurate response.

Magnetically Shielded for Desktop Use

Unchecked, all speakers emit electromagnetic waves that can wreak havoc with your computer's video monitor or a nearby TV. The Studiophile AV 40 monitors are magnetically shielded so that all of your electronic equipment can coexist on your desktop without interference.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

SUCH A LOW PRICE, ARE THEY ANY GOOD?

YES! I had 4 pioneer 6 inches and a Yamaha reciever at the time. This takes away all that unessesary stuff. They sound better than that system. There for monitoring not shaking th wall. You can always purchase a floor subwoofer if you needed it. They do have some pretty good bass as they are. If you want to buy the right stuff at the right price, dont bother looking at more reviews, just go for these. I also have the Lambda usb card and it doesn't have an off switch for the options to listen to headphones. Just turn these monitors off and there you go. Good combination. Get those too.

Great Buy

Last night i picked up a set of these to see how they were. The sound was great. There was great bass as well. In the back there is a bass boost switch just incase you need more. But these are an excellent bang for the buck. Enjoy ;)

Amazing

I received these speakers for Christmas and I am still blown away by them. The sound is crisp and clear... amazing really. Primarily, I use them for mixing, which is 10 times easier than it was previously, thanks to their amazing accuracy. However, I have also found that they are, by far, the best speakers in my house for simply listening to music. From jazz to classical to rock, the clarity is stunning. If anyone is looking for some amazing monitors for a small home studio, this is the set to buy. They are truly amazing.

Perfect for Home Studios

I purchased these after reading reviews and believe me all the reviews are correct. These monitors are perfect for a home studio. I heard things in my music that i never heard before. They are compact so they do not take up that much space. They do not knock pictures off the wall but they are loud enough. If you are on a budget and want some great monitors look no further.

Solid.

Great sound in a small package. More then enough for my modest home studio project. Flat response, great for reference monitioring. Mixing made more simple with an honest representation of recording without coloration. Bass boost botton in back for a bit more bottom end if needed. Volume knob in front, power in rear. Worth the wait for ordering. Very pleased, now back to work.
